Democrats have to compete in tough states like Florida, but consistently nominating former Republicans (like Jolly) with terrible voting records and squishy principles is not the answer
Welcome to Orlando, @davidjollyFL.
You led the effort to defund Planned Parenthood and voted to ban abortion. Democrats are paying attention.
Calling the cops on our truck won’t erase your record.
This full-frontal GOP attack on Black political power has done what is very difficult for Democrats to do by themselves: inflaming both MSNBC Democrats and Church Pew Democrats at the same time.
This dual ignition spells disaster for Republicans in 2026.
Virginians showed up and made their voices heard. I’m proud to be running in Virginia’s new 5th Congressional District, the community I’ve called home for 30 years. I got into this race to protect Virginia families, and that mission hasn’t changed, no matter the district. Right now, Washington politicians are looking out for themselves instead of the people they serve. As Henrico’s top prosecutor, I’ve dedicated my career to protecting the community that I love, and I’m ready to take that fight to Congress.
Congrats to our own @chakra_a1 on being named to @TheAAPC’s 40 Under 40!
He is a leader and driving force behind Arc’s political research work on the toughest, most competitive campaigns in the country. #AAPC40u40#POLLIES26
Really good stuff from @lizzydgoodman
"he dreamed of synthesizing his favorite things to create a world in which he would truly, uniquely belong — not breaking into someone else’s realm, but becoming, as he said, 'the thing that other people come to.'"

75 million people voted for the Democratic nominee for president in 2024. This is what the Trump and Republicans believe about 75 million Americans ⬇️⬇️⬇️
"The Oath of Enlistment is an explicit promise to the nation ... In return, our nation makes an implicit promise: that the military will be used only for honorable ends," writes Marine veteran and candidate for Congress @EvanMunsing. https://t.co/js0fBaTIQ8
Regardless of how you feel about Gavin Newsom's trolling of Trump and his social media rhetoric, the reality is: he is trying different tactics and showing a fight that many Americans have been craving for since the beginning of the Trump admin
I’m running for Congress because we deserve leaders who serve the nation, not themselves.
If we want to fix the system, we need a different sort of leader.
And I’m ready to serve again.
@mbaharaeen The premise of Boyle’s quotes are wrong. Numerous actors of Indian decent also really benefited from the story. Freida Pinto and Dev Patel have made plenty of money from the success of this film
@mbaharaeen It’s def performative, I guess my point is, Boyle’s comments don’t really matter if it’s a uniquely Indian story, with actors of Indian decent and originated by an Indian author. I don’t really understand how this appropriation to begin with, which is why this convo is dumb to me
@Timodc FWIW The story it’s based on a book called “Q&A” by Vikas Swarup (an Indian author) which received global recognitions before the film was adapted. But twitter is gonna twitter about this dumb story and leave out important pieces of information
