Adam Dicko from @AjcadMali, Adnane Chalachew from @positivepeacet, and Nathalie Olijslager (@nathalieolij) from @DutchMFA share their perspectives on how civil society organisations and development partners can collaborate for more impactful local projects.
We recently had an energizing meeting with leaders from five youth associations, and we're excited about what's ahead!
We came together to talk about what really matters to young people and how the U.S. Embassy can better partner with youth ages 15-35. The conversation covered everything from youth diplomacy and education to civic engagement and leadership developmentโand the possibilities are huge.
A big thank you to the incredible youth leaders who joined us. Your vision, energy, and dedication to empowering the next generation inspire us, and we can't wait to see what we'll accomplish together.

๐ Workshop on Women, Peace and Security & Male Engagement in the #IGAD Region.
๐ 16-18 Dec 2025 | Machakos, Kenya
โ Day 2
Day 2 commenced with a recap of key reflections from Day 1, led by @IGADgender's @MpiriirweR, who reinforced the role of male champions in advancing the Women, Peace, and Security agenda. The morning sessions featured country experiences from #SouthSudan and #Uganda, offering practical insights into approaches, challenges, and lessons learned in engaging men as allies for #GenderEquality in #peace and #security processes. These discussions then transitioned into group work, where participants collaboratively explored effective strategies for strengthening male engagement in support of womenโs meaningful participation across the region.
