Stylistically, France vs Spain is a microcosm of the Ronaldo vs Messi debate.
France represent the science of football, structure, athleticism, efficiency & calculated execution.
Spain represent the art of football, rhythm, imagination, technique and expression.

As much as I would've loved for Argentina π¦π· to go through, my G Mo Salah needs some positivity this year...
What a time to be alive!!!

@baba_nyenyedzi The issue people have with the new packaging isn't the redesign itself, it's the loss of character. The original brand had a distinct identity that made it instantly recognizable on the shelf. The new design fails to capture the essence of what made Spuds, Spuds
I resisted commenting on this so-called Tagwirei/Java brothers audio leak - not out of caution, but out of sheer contempt for the intellectual insult it represents. The moment you examine the alleged architecture of this leak - who supposedly said what, to whom, and why - the entire construct collapses.
Let us begin with the obvious. We all know Passion Java. Zimbabwe has watched, in real time, the spectacular collapse of his social and political relevance. This is a man who once survived on spectacle, proximity and social media theatrics. Today, even the entertainers and public personalities who once orbited around him no longer see strategic value in that association. His remaining oxygen now comes from low-level podcast circuits and noise chambers desperately recycling controversy into relevance.
Yet we are suddenly expected to believe that a businessman allegedly operating at the highest levels of political and economic influence would choose such a figure as a trusted vault for sensitive national conversations?
That is not how power behaves.
Serious power is disciplined. Serious influence is selective. Serious operators minimise unnecessary exposure. They do not outsource strategic confidentiality to social media personalities whose greatest asset is attention-seeking behaviour. The vessel, in this case, does not just undermine the message - it indicts the entire premise.
But here is where it gets genuinely interesting - and genuinely damning for us as a society.
The more revealing scandal is not the audio. It is the audience. The spectacle of Zimbabwean social media commentators - people who present themselves as sharp, politically literate, and discerning - treating this fabrication as source material for serious analysis is itself the story. We have collectively performed our own credibility assassination on a public stage. We celebrate our intelligence as a people while demonstrating a near-total inability to apply basic source criticism to content that was quite literally engineered to manipulate us. That is the real failure.
Now, to the architects themselves - and this question deserves a direct answer: what exactly did you think would happen?
The alleged strategic objective, as some commentators have floated, was to drive a wedge between Tagwirei and the President. Setting aside the profound naivety of that ambition, consider what this audio has actually produced in the court of public perception. I have said this before, following other poorly conceived character assassination attempts on Tagwirei. They paint him as a man so embedded in the architecture of the Zimbabwean state that his influence requires an active disinformation campaign to contest. Such hits do not diminish him. They inadvertently reinforce his mythology. Every breathless commentary, every dramatic reaction, every self-appointed "exclusive analysis" thread then functions as free, unsolicited testimony to his untouchable stature.
This is the oldest irony in political warfare: the hit job that becomes a monument.
Whoever commissioned this audio wanted to manufacture a liability, but they failed dismally.
