When you grow up in an emotionally abusive household so you learn to repress your feelings and you grow up and get away and start a new life and start to recover and then someone you're close to dies and you're like, oh, is that what human emotions feel like? I don't like it

I was playing a board game with some friends when Pirates of the Caribbean came up. I couldn't resist, so I turned to the person next to me and go "So I was in Jamaica the other week," and she kind of does a double take and I want so badly to start laughing

"And then I went to the Bahamas, and pie there was $3."

I pause for a second and people are still staring with no clue where I'm going with this.

"Turns out, those are the pie rates of the Caribbean."

At this point they finally get it and some burst out laughing, some groan
