I don’t think people are “proud” that their kids can’t speak Setswana. That’s bogus. Shit just happens… And who TF cares? 😭 Also, why are y’all in people’s business? Have your own kids and make them speak Setswana ee.
My child had delayed speech development, so when he finally began speaking, teaching him English only (the language of instruction in school) was the best way to support him. It’s disappointing how quickly people judge what they don’t understand.
@NoobieLord@chamakhala The question wasn't "are you proud". The question was "why are you proud". Meaning an assumption has already been made that parents are proud. So that they can pass judgement. Without asking for the facts or background first. That is the whole problem with this topic.
Why am I being asked whether I’m “proud”? What’s the expected answer here?Should I say I’m ashamed that my child doesn’t speak Setswana because he had delayed speech development?
@chamakhala Wait! The question was whether u are "proud" that your child doesn't speak Setswana. A child having a speech impediment is a good reason why they may not be bilingual. However, the question still remains unanswered, are you proud that your child doesn't speak your mother tongue?
@Typical_Tshepo Le judgemental!. Some kids are autistic & we are medically encouraged to teach them one language becos of their speech impediments. We teach them the language of instruction at school & at therapies. Gape tswang hela moo ba bangwe bo judge judy🙄. Gole jela eng? Lea lapisa!

How do you deal with pests who can’t stop asking for money even when you already said you don’t have 😭 yoh we are suffocating in this difficult economy 😩
Waitse in trying to show our dissatisfaction towards Minister Chombo, we must guard against turning into her outright bullies, you can call out leaders for incompetence without being condescending and vile.
She showed up in support of a good course…
1. “I never asked you to do that for me:” The words will come from someone you’ve sacrificed for. Someone you’ve shown up for over and over again. And it will hit you like a punch to the chest. Because suddenly, all the lifting, all the burden-carrying, all the stepping up when no one else would - it’s being rewritten as something you chose to do. Like it was charity—just the volunteer nobody acknowledged. 😕
The most painful part of taxes isn't the cost.
It's watching all the money you earned get wasted on corruption, incompetence, stupidity, and deviant ideology...
