At WEF @LarryTaunton was the tour guide for me, @DataRepublican, and @DataInterpretr. He really encouraged us to spread out and meet people and talk to them. (That's something I have no trouble with.)

Larry was so right! I met so many interesting people. A few examples:

I met a group of men who were working on some construction stuff for the event. Two were from Switzerland and fiercely proud of their country.

One was from Ukraine. He said his family in Kiev, which was bombed the night before, live with 3 hours of electricity a day. I don't care where you stand on the issue, we all must admit that the human toll is devastating. But he was adamant that they would fight on. "Would you give up a part of Florida to Mexico? And all the other countries know that if Russia wins, they'll be next."

Met another lady from Switzerland who had lived in Davos for 60 years. She was 80 years old and just loved the excitement that WEF brings to her otherwise "boring" little town. (Her words.)

Met a young girl from Connecticut who ended up following me on X. She works for a Swiss company and does computer work for a climate non-profit. Her vision for clean energy was pure, non political, and authentic.

I met really good people and am so glad I came! Thank you, Larry, for the opportunity.
