SRF sannyasi Swami Anandamoy Giri explains that the spiritual practices of humankind evolve from focusing on outward worship to experiencing the highest spiritual truth within ourselves. And we can experience this by practising the science of yoga meditation as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda.
You can receive Yoganandaji’s personal and comprehensive instruction in the science of meditation and art of balanced living through his YSS Lessons, a home-study course available for a nominal fee. To learn more and to enrol: https://t.co/FDUMntN6h8

“Uniting the soul with Spirit is Yoga — reunion with that great Happiness everyone is seeking. Isn’t this a wonderful definition? In the ever new Bliss of Spirit you are convinced that the joy you feel is greater than any other happiness, and nothing can get you down.” — Paramahansa Yogananda

IMPROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP BEFORE YOU TRY TO IMPROVE SOMEONE
If you can't improve someone's behaviour just by telling them once, it means your relationship with them is terrible.
If your spouse drinks and won't change, if your child doesn't fold their clothes and throws them all in their bed, and if a friend won't stop seeing someone who's clearly abusive to them, improve your relationship with them before advising them to improve their behaviour.
Communication is what is received and the door to receive communication is your good relationship.
Nobody receives communication undistorted unless the relationship is genuine which means it is based on a long history of honesty. This is what trust in a relationship means.
We try to force and shout our message into the brain of someone who thinks we are dishonest and don't have their best interests in mind.
Whether you're an individual trying to influence someone or a leader trying to influence a group they won't change their behaviour or even follow your instructions unless you have a genuine relationship based on honesty and trust.
Talking won't help.
You need empathy and self-honesty to know how they see you. It's not so hard, just put your ego aside.
If they don't trust you don't waste your time getting hurt. Ask yourself instead, "what do they need to see to improve their opinion of me?"
Because, unless they have an improved opinion of you they won't improve their behaviour around you or towards you.
Even Arjun didn't listen to Krishna till Krishna showed him that he was Paramatma and therefore trustworthy.
I love Gujarat Mata and Gujaratis. They are good, simple, hard and smart working, generous, devoted to God, enterprising, appreciate joint family system and many other good qualities . May such qualities spread to all. Happy Gujarat Sthapana Divas.

@Ananth_IRAS I always tell anyone, even those who graciously decline a gift of any kind from me, “Please don’t deny me the joy of giving you this.” It always works.

I wake up at 4:30am every day.
Not because I am a morning person.
Not because I read that successful people do this.
Because at some point I realized: before I attend to the world, I need to attend to myself.
The morning isn't a productivity hack.
It's the only time of day that is truly mine.
@warikoo Beautifully said.. though I’d gently challenge one part, our parents don’t become our kids, they become mirrors of our own capacity for patience, dignity, and the kind of care we once received without understanding its depth.
IT TAKES A LOT TO BE REVATHI…!!!
While the whole country is celebrating the landmark judgement of death penalty for the NINE policemen in the Santhanakulam custodial torture and murder of Jeyaraj and Bennix, you should know about Revathi.
Revathi was a constable in Santhanakulam police station in 2020 when the gruesome incident took place. She was the key witness and the sole reason for all the arrogant officers getting punished today.
The police men involved in the brutality were all big men, Revathi was a small time constable. But she stood unperturbed.
When Magistrate Bharathidasan, who initially investigated this case, arrived at the Santhanakulam police station he had no clue that constable Revathi will help close the case.
"Sir, I will tell you everything, every detail, the truth that is being hidden. But I am the mother of two young girls... can you guarantee the safety of my children and my job?", she had asked the magistrate.
Revathi was on night duty when the cruel incident took place. She witnessed the brutality being inflicted on Jeyaraj and Bennix and narrated every single detail.
She told how SI Balakrishnan, inspector Sridhar and SI Ragukanes, kept beating the father and son with whatever they found, and how they also stomped on their private parts with their shoes.
She remembered their screams. She saw how the officers took pause only to sip alcohol while the victims withered in pain.
When the father and son were semi-conscious, unable to bear it, Revathi asked Jayaraj if he needed anything. She gave him coffee which the officials spilt it immediately.
Revathi couldn’t stand the brutality but being a woman constable there was only so much she could do. She then offered water to the victims.
The so called policemen then stripped Bennix naked, tied his hands and legs separately, and beat him up. They did the same to Jeyaraj. Revathi couldn’t bear the pain of their screams, she left the place.
According to the postmortem report, their entire back was skinned, iron rods were inserted and they bled from their rectums.
When the case was being discussed by the media, when even the CM of Tamil Nadu tried to brush it away, Revathi knew the truth.
The police officials, cleaned up the station of any DNA evidences, erased the CCTV footage and warned everyone to shut-up and not try to become heroes.
But Revathi didn’t just narrate the entire ordeal in exact detail…she even helped the investigating officials obtain other crucial information.
Despite everything being cleaned, Revathi gathered DNA of the victims in crevices of the walls and floors, on furniture and other objects.
She was questioned, threatened, intimidated, bribed and even abused. She stood by justice. She had to go against her colleagues for justice of comman man.
In the time when police force is often looked upon with reasonable suspicion, there are people in uniform like Revathi.
Today court could pronounce death sentence to nine police officers - only because one woman decided she will stand by truth!
Kudos to Revathi, an amazing woman and an absolutely fabulous police officer.
The world is a better place because of her courage.
Salute ma’am 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
On this Good Friday I offer a sincere prayer that we humans really make the changes that have been highlighted by our saints and Jesus Christ. Wish everyone an introspective Good Friday. 🙏

English translation -It is said that during Sri Ram's rule, there were no premature deaths, accidents ,or natural disasters. The world today needs that. For that to happen, all of us need to develop Ram-like qualities.

Visualization might be sabotaging you
Here’s why:
NYU psychologist Dr. Gabriele Oettingen spent decades studying this. In one experiment, she hooked participants up to blood pressure monitors and asked them to vividly visualize achieving their biggest dreams — the job, the body, the relationship.
Their blood pressure dropped immediately.
Sounds good, right?
It wasn't.
Their bodies had already registered the emotional reward — before any work was done.
In my book Beyond Belief, I call this the Circle of False Promise.
It works like this: you fantasize → reality disappoints → you feel more helpless → you escape back into fantasy.
Each cycle makes it harder to act.
The good news? There's a science-backed alternative.
Instead of visualizing success in isolation, you need to deliberately pair your goal with the real obstacles in your way. Then create an if-then plan for when those obstacles show up.
Example:
→ Goal: Run a 5K by June
→ Obstacle: I'll want to sleep in instead of train
→ Plan: I'll put my running shoes by my bed and commit to just putting them on

After studying belief psychology 5+ years, I've discovered something counterintuitive:
High achievers don't have fewer doubts than everyone else.
They just choose different beliefs.
When faced with "I'm too old," they think "This is my starting point."
When they hear "You can't," they respond with "I haven't yet."
When obstacles appear, they see information (not stop signs).
I've mapped out 12 belief patterns that separate people who stay stuck from those who break through.
The left column are beliefs that cause us to quit.
The right column are beliefs that lead to sustained action.
𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡:
1️⃣ Pick ONE limiting belief you catch yourself thinking this week.
2️⃣ Replace it with its empowering alternative.
3️⃣ Then act on it, even imperfectly.
That's how change actually happens.
Which belief pattern do you struggle with most?
P.S. If this idea resonates, grab a copy of my upcoming book BEYOND BELIEF to learn more: https://t.co/zE4t7sPAjs
It explores the science-backed approach to breaking through limiting beliefs and achieving extraordinary results.

I asked my mom & dad for advice recently from raising me and my brother...
I’m not a parent yet but one day (fingers crossed).
This is what they told me, maybe you’ll find it useful too:
1. Your kids are not your friends. They’re yours to safeguard and support, but set rules. Biggest problem with most kids in our generation, their parents wanted to be liked not respected.
2. Psy ops are underrated. My mom had this line for whenever I got into trouble. She’d say, “When I ask you a question like this, I already know the answer. I am giving you a chance to come clean...” At which point I’d sing like a canary because I’m a scaredy cat. I found out today she rarely knew the answers. Brilliant and maniacal.
3. Always on the same page. My mom and dad rarely fought in front of my brother and I. They would never go back on the word of the other. United front to deal with us mini terrorists.
4. Make time. My dad had this silly line that is actually not silly: “You can make money, you can make a cake, but you can’t make time.” So they made allllll the time for us.
5. Four chairs. We have these four chairs in our living room, no tv. Growing up, we’d sit and debate and talk for hours. Politics. Opinions. Our days. Only thing not allowed was an opinion you couldn’t defend unemotionally. We still do this today.
6. Mi Sangre mi siempre. They’d always say, blood comes first. They meant it. I hired my brother, my dad, my mom, my cousin at times. We stick together and we may fight like hell but never in front of others.
7. Once you decide, you don’t quit. We could play any sport or instrument BUT if we committed we had to play the full year all out. No 3 lessons and quit. Taught us to choose thoughtfully and keep going even when it hurt.
8. Always call. They still pick up the phone nearly every time it’s family. My dad in a meeting will pause to answer my mom. My husband taught me this too, and I try to do the same. If they’re your first priority this is an easy way to prove it.
9. You’re not a princess, you’re a president. My dad always used to say that line. He told me this week that I lived up to it. Gutted me. He taught us we didn’t need to be saved, instead we could save ourselves and help others.
10. Hug often and seriously. If you’ve ever hugged my parents, they mean it when they do it. Such a simple, free gesture. My mom always gives you a hug and says vaya con dios... go with God. How can you not do big things with parents that hold you like that?
Just some lessons from parents I happen to think are some of the best in the world.
Moms & dads everywhere, I’m in awe of you.
Hardest job I’ve ever seen.
Hope ya'll have a great time with the fam today ❤️ Now get off your phone 😉
