Banker unfortunate,Social by Heart.

[TheBanker’sMirror @bankaffairs]

The government is selling @IDBI_Bank for a small budget deficit. If deficits grow, @TheOfficialSBI could be next. This sale is a template for selling every bank.

Opposition parties must unite. Failing to raise tax revenue should not justify selling public assets built on public money.

Acquisition of Indian banks is nothing less than rolling out a red carpet for foreign banks. They gain ready-made networks, loyal customer bases, and deep market penetration without building anything from scratch. This backdoor entry risks weakening our domestic banks and diverting profits overseas.

By serving diverse segments, including farmers, low-income groups, students, small businesses, and high-net-worth clients, IDBI Bank plays a pivotal role in socioeconomic development as a public sector entity.
