My retirement plan
1. Lifting 3x a week
2. Sprinting 1x per week
3. Zone 2 for 150 min a week
4. Mobility and plyometrics for 7 min before my workouts
The moment you stop lifting, running, stretching, jumping, and sprinting is the moment you become older.

Okay, the Huawei Mate 90 with camera module actually looks pretty awesome. This is the first phone camera accessory in a long time that actually brings something new to the table.
Most of the add-on lenses from other manufacturers sit over the phone’s existing camera and magnify whatever that little sensor can already see. Useful, but you are still stuck with the phone’s telephoto. This one does not work that way. The module has its own 1-inch sensor built into it, larger than either of the big cameras already in the phone, and the phone’s lenses are not in the path at all.
When it locks on, the phone is the mount, the battery, the screen, and the computer. You control the zoom, the focus, and the aperture from the phone, or from a ring on the lens itself. It does not even carry its own battery. The phone feeds power straight through the contacts, including the motors that drive the zoom.
It is a REAL optical zoom, 24 mm to 240 mm on a 35 mm scale, continuous, on that same 1-inch sensor the whole way. Not a jump from a wide camera to a tiny periscope. Ten times, in one lens, with the aperture running from f/2.0 at the wide end to f/4.5 at the long end. For a portrait that is the difference between a normal lens and a short telephoto you would actually pack, and then on out to a reach you normally only get by cropping hard or carrying a separate body. Sony tried something like this years ago with the lens cameras that clamped onto a phone and communicated over Wi-Fi. Those had the right instinct and a miserable experience with terrible latency. This is wired in. The phone drives it.
I have been looking for a compact system to carry for interviews when I am traveling. Right now that usually means three Micro Four Thirds bodies for my three required shots (one on me, one on the guest, and a wide shot with both of us). I keep picturing a couple of these in a carry-on instead. Same idea, a lot less bulk, and the phone I am already holding becomes the recorder and the monitor.
I'm starting to see a bunch of photos and videos coming out on these and it looks really impressive.

HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of people around the world woke up today to articles by Reuters and other media saying that the US Coast Guard intercepted a ship carrying “illicit fuel” to Cuba.
But is that what really happened?
No. A crime was clearly committed in international waters. The US commandeered an entire ship—including its cargo, which included fuel, and the crew. The snatching of the ship was revealed yesterday, although it happened on 5 September.
The vessel called M/V Grace was taken over by the US Coast Guard in Caribbean waters between Mexico and Cuba—which the US is starving of fuel.
.
LEGAL AND ILLEGAL
It is 100 percent legal for countries to give or sell goods to each other, as long as there are no UN sanctions against such transfers.
In contrast, the US’s unilateral fuel blockade of Cuba has been repeatedly shown to violate international law, AND the UN Charter, AND sovereign equality regulations, AND the principle of non-intervention.
The US actions against Cuba have also been shown to contravene the most basic principle of moral justice, which forbids collective punishment.
To put it simply, you’re not allowed to force families in Cuba to go hungry and hospitals to close down because you dislike the fact that the country has resisted US regime change operations for decades.
Regime change itself is also unlawful.
And then of course we have the US's illegal summary executions of at least 231 people in more than 70 strikes in the Caribbean seas and east Pacific.
.
ILLEGALITY ASCRIBED TO THE WRONG SIDE
Yet the reports by Reuters and other media carefully omit all this absolutely crucial contextual information.
They do, however, contain multiple references to illegal actions being taken. In every case, these push the absurd position that the US’s victims are the criminals. For example:
- Reuters quotes a US Coast Guard statement saying that the vessel was carrying containers “believed to contain illicit fuel”.
- Reuters quotes US admiral Adm Kevin Lunday saying: “The high seas are not a sanctuary for lawlessness.”
- Reuters includes his warning that that ships which quote “engage in illicit activities will not evade justice”.
Literally all references to illegality in the report are ascribed to the victims, and none to the United States.
Cuba deserves better. And so do the people around the world who depend on the western mainstream media for their news.

If you want to live longer, avoid the performative optimization you see on social media and focus on the tools that improve quality of life.
This means not being fat, lifting weights, cardio, sleep, and relationships.
Everything else is a distraction.
A list i look forward to each year and highly recommend for Canadian bball fans
I would have Wiggins, Kabengele, and Carr all slightly higher, but overall not much to quibble with. We shouldn’t take moments like these for granted (or squander medal opportunities when they come)
The top 10 🇨🇦 hoopers today are all NBA starters, including two All-NBA players and the league's MVP.
🇨🇦 basketball fans should enjoy this moment because In all likelihood, we will never live to see such greatness from another Canadian basketball player.
