Zigi is the latest calf born to our Umani orphan herd. Mothered by Zongoloni, an elephant we rescued as an orphan, raised and rewilded.

There’s still a way to go in Tali’s recovery - the newest addition to our elephant foster family, he arrived into our care emaciated, weak, and riddled with worms - but he’s healing everyday and revealing more of his character in the process. Seems he has a penchant for mud!!
