Initially I didn't want to move to an empty platform, but if we don't individually take action then the shift won't happen. And enough people have taken the first step! So come and find me at https://t.co/Ylg3EC6STV 🦋
Lovely work retreat with @AnotherWay_org this week, with the bonus of being able to get some mothing in and to show some new nature lovers that not all creepy-crawlies are creepy! Featuring a sallow kitten, pine hawk-moth and wasp spider.
The first of many visits today to the Vallée de Mai nature reserve on Praslin as we begin @omphrese's grad film project on the endemic coco de mer. No sightings yet of the giant bronze gecko, but the two day geckos and and a bronze-eyed were really nice to see!
Delighted to have two photographs specially commended in @RoyEntSoc's 2023 @insectweek photo competition!
Some spectacular shots in there, go and have a look – https://t.co/UUmstJUUY3
Great to participate in the #RestoreNatureNow march this weekend and very grateful to have had the experience of being a runner on the day, for part of @AlJazeera's earthrise programme!
@stokesyneust and I took time out of our incredibly busy birding schedule to go on a little walk in London earlier... #RestoreNatureNow
Was great to see so many familiar faces out in support of our natural world!
Mothing at Devichoys Wood, nr Penryn produced this Trachypepla contritella last night. A rare adventive from NZ with just a few records from nr Hayle & nr London. @j_chapman2 @12broadbentm @ChannerLeela @MigrantMothUK
So good to get out filming again earlier this week with @NWCornwall. My shoes are still recovering from the bog, but so worth it to see my first marsh fritillaries, heath orchids and round-leaved sundew! Many thanks to @Cornwall_BC for allowing us to come and film their event.
Thank you to everyone who came to our #SWWARN launch last week, and to @FairfieldHouse_ for their hospitality and amazing tour! We had many engaging discussions and some great talks, not least by our PGR students who wrapped up the day. Stay tuned as we plan our next events! 💛

Message from Falmouth is clear - NO MORE SEWAGE IN OUR SEAS ❌💩 Hundreds paddled at Gylly beach to tell poo-lluters it's time to cut the crap. Proud to be part of such an epic community of #OceanActivists 🤙✊

Trip to Holkham with @ChannerLeela and my grandparents turned up the goods this afternoon when a ringtail harrier flew past us on the walk back to the car. Looking at my photos of the bird when I got home confirmed a Montys.
