I've spent time in most of the "European paradise" beach towns. Here's what's real:

🇪🇸 Mallorca looks incredible on Instagram. But in summer it's a German colony and prices triple
🇪🇸 Ibiza is a great party island. Living there? You're either rich or working in a hotel for €1,200/month
🇬🇷 Mykonos has the prettiest beaches in Greece. It also has $40 club sodas and oligarchs. Much better islands in Greece
🇵🇹 Algarve has been Brexit-colonized. Don't expect to hear Portuguese
🇭🇷 Dubrovnik looks like a fantasy. Half the year it's empty, the other half it's Disneyland
🇪🇸 Málaga (Costa del Sol) works. Real city, beach, infrastructure, year-round sun, not insanely expensive yet
🇪🇸 Valencia is the smartest beach city in Europe right now. Affordable, modern, beautiful, real

If I had to live on a European beach full time, it'd be Valencia or Málaga, hands down. The rest are for holidays
