Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer has set out
the government’s mission to restore Britain to the service of working people. Today I visited @10DowningStreet as the new Minister for Early Education. Together, working with the sector, we will give every child the best start in life
Fantastic to have so many enthusiastic local people joining my campaign to be re-elected Member of Parliament for our community. To volunteer too please email [email protected]
This is a picture of my wife @char_gerada with her dad on the Portsmouth buses.
She’s a councillor now, & campaigns against the failed privatisations of recent decades.
Following @AndyBurnhamGM in Manchester I’m sure one day soon buses in Pompey will return to public control!
Portsmouth’s streets are in decline under this Lib Dem council. I don’t notice such shameful decay in other south coast cities. Totally agree with Labour Cllr @char_gerada comments today.
Planning chaos at the council and a lack of a local vision is holding back so much potential for our community. The consequences of that are our high streets are on the brink. @char_gerada is right to call this out and set out Labour’s plan👇🏻

Too often on the doorstep I hear from local people that that council aren’t getting the basics right and that means more fly-tipping, graffiti and neglect of our neighbourhoods. Grateful for the efforts of @PompeyLabour and @char_gerada for taking action👇🏻

Another busy week for Steph Richards our fantastic Fratton campaigner, despite a very difficult week personally for Steph she still:
🗣️ Gave a public deputation at the council meeting calling out women's inequality in Portsmouth
🚪 Spoke to hundreads of residents across Fratton listening to their ideas and concerns
🎨 Attended the brilliant launch of PARCS oral history project at Aspex Portsmouth
🚶🏼♀️Joined local organisation ‘Girls that Walk’ to raise awareness of endometriosis
🗞️ Delivered updates from Stephen Morgan MP’s and herself on the work they’ve both been doing locally
Vote Steph on May 2nd 🌹
Roll up! Roll up! The Circus has pulled into Portsea. As ever Carnival was full of colour and full of community spirit. Very well done to PEG volunteers for a brilliant local celebration 🎪🤹♂️🎡
I share concerns regarding proposed changes which will see direct trains connecting Brighton and Portsmouth axed. My letter to Govia Thameslink Railway on behalf of local passengers👇🏻
Today, @UKLabour is launching ‘People Like Me’, a training programme to support people who are Black, Asian, or from another ethnic minority to stand as local councillors.

The decision to close ticket offices at all train stations in Portsmouth is rushed and must be rethought. I’ve lobbied the rail companies and Government. Now I’ve submitted a formal response to the formal consultation on behalf of constituents👇🏻
Very proud of my wife, who is a councillor, for working with colleagues & the community to fundraise for, & build, this ‘parklet’. There’s another much bigger one on the way down the road as well!
You can do great things in local govt, and my God it needs some dynamic people!
@DeborahSuggRyan @HallieRubenhold@StephenMorganMP@Steve__Pitt Apologies for just seeing this tweet now. I have formally opposed the application and agree with your concerns Deborah.
