END CHURCH NDAs.
If your church or ministry is having people sign NDAs then it’s NOT normal.
It is NOT acceptable.
It absolutely IS a red flag.
If you have ever signed an NDA with a church you should definitely make sure you have your own copy of it. The worst groups out there actually refuse to give people a copy of the NDA because (I believe) the pressure of legal threat is stronger when they don’t know what they have signed.
In the future I plan to report more on specific ministries that hold the threat of lawsuits over the heads of potential whistleblowers.
One of my favorite explanations of contemplative prayer from Thomas Merton.
The stumbling block of contemplative prayer for many is found in its utter simplicity.
Being pro-abortion should be as politically toxic as being pro-slavery. It should be impossible to get elected taking that barbaric position. If it isn't, then we're failing in the fight for the culture.
Put another way, the problem isn't that we're "too pro-life." It's that our culture is passionately pro-death. The culture — not our conviction that all human life is sacred — must change.
@DustyMayT@blaiseforet Yes, I heard Bill speak about this in one of his sermons. Bill said the person in question did not fall into a sexual sin of any kind. He still allowed him to pray with people but no type of up front ministry. He didn’t banish him but curtailed his responsibilities.
@kvministries Sadly at some point our churches will no longer be able to stream content to reach the lost because the “saved” tear everything apart. Thanks for the clarification but at no point did I think you were letting Mike Bickle off the hook.
The digital genie is out of the bottle. Your church is still around. The church is still around. It's just leaving the building. https://t.co/xZREkW454J via @cnieuwhof
I’ve never seen data like this in my 25 years of research. The resilience of pastors is being tested like no other time in our lives. @davidkinnaman https://t.co/ar8cnXfYU6 via @cnieuwhof
