The same Mayor Mamdani who says he won't join the Israel Parade because of the government, marched with a smile on his face at the Pakistan Independence Day parade.
Pakistan 🇵🇰
- Is a global transit point for human trafficking
- Sees 1000+ honor killings of women a year
- Has one of the highest rates of heroin addiction in the world
- Its army raped ~200,000-400,00 women and killed between 300,000 and 3 million people during a war with Bangladesh in 1971, in what is widely recognized as a genocide
- Multiple terror groups operate in the country and killed 100s in attacks in just the last year
None of those are reasons for individual Pakistanis to stop marching for their country; random citizens are not responsible for an entire country's failures.
But they are reasons why the Mayor's stance betrays a double standard.
Mayors are responsible for ALL of their city's residents, no matter what country they are from.
Something is deeply shocking me, some people who call themselves “human rights activists” speak endlessly about Palestinian rights, yet won’t utter a single word about Hamas’s brutality against Palestinians. Not just silence, they actively cover for it.
Spare us the hypocrisy.
People believe that because 700,000 Palestinians were displaced in an Arab war 80 years ago that today they're entitled to wage massacres, bomb busses, hijack planes, and recruit activists for a global intifada.
People also believe that because 9 million Jews were displaced in WW2 and 6 million of them were exterminated and nearly another million were ethnically cleansed by Arabs, that they're entitled to no self defense or sovereignty and that “their victim card expired."
This is the confluence of the racism of low expectations and raw antisemitism.
BREAKING: Partial internet has been restored to Iran, with videos finally coming out showing the extent of protests against the regime.
Millions demanded an end to the Mullahs.
A state writes a religious exclusion into its nationality law, barring Jews from citizenship. A territory makes selling land to a Jew a crime punishable by death.
So why has the UN never passed a single resolution condemning any of it?
The body that passes more resolutions against Israel than against the rest of the world combined has no condemnation on the books for a law that excludes Jews by name.
Why?
Because of how the math works.
The UN General Assembly runs on blocs. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation is 57 member states. The Arab Group is 22. The Non-Aligned Movement is 120. These blocs vote together, and they decide what reaches the floor. A resolution condemning an Arab state's treatment of Jews has no sponsor, no second, and no majority. It dies before it's written. A resolution condemning Israel has a guaranteed coalition before the ink is dry.
The closest it ever came: a UN treaty committee, reviewing Jordan in 2017, asked a polite question about the status of Jews under that nationality law. Jordan replied that there is "no racial discrimination whatsoever" in the kingdom. End of inquiry. No resolution. No condemnation. No follow-up.
Now compare. In recent years the General Assembly has passed more country-specific condemnations of Israel than of Iran, Syria, North Korea, and Russia combined. The UN Human Rights Council has a permanent fixed agenda item. Item 7 is dedicated solely to Israel.
No other country on earth has a standing agenda item. Not one.
The UN has no condemnation of a nationality law that excludes Jews, because the states that would have to propose it are the states that wrote laws like it.
A Jew-free Arab territory isn't a violation to them. It's the baseline.
The progressive cult secures itself thru coercive control.
That looks like:
- controlling what media outlets you’re allowed to consume
- dictating what books, documentaries, and films you can watch, and which you can’t
- asserting who you can and cannot be friends with
- monitoring who you keep in contact with, who you follow on social media, your email inboxes etc
- making rules about where you’re allowed to socialise, how you should use your voice and who you should collaborate or work with
All of it is falsely framed as protection, safety and care. It is narcissistic group control. It’s a cult.
Hello @AOC, while you smiled in a hijab at a New York event, I was in Federal Court facing the 4th hitman hired by the Islamic Republic to assassinate me, for campaigning for Iranian women to have the same freedom you performed for a photo op. Will you come to court with me in August when I face the 5th hitman? Or does solidarity only work when it doesn't offend the Islamic regime?
You wore hijab voluntarily in New York. Women are killed in Iran for taking it off.
You are the very woman who, at every opportunity, protests against violence against women, decries gender segregation, and champions "inclusion." Yet here you stand, smiling and wearing a hijab, at an event in New York, in the heart of the West, where men and women are strictly separated. To me and millions of Iranian women, this does not look like a choice. It is no longer "My body, my choice," but rather "My body for votes."
They who claim to fight for women's self-determination in the name of feminism voluntarily embrace an ideology that mandates our women cover their hair simply because they are women. They enjoy the prosperity, freedom, and privileges of the Western world, where they may live as autonomous individuals , yet they simultaneously accept that other women should not be afforded the same rights.
