@MrRossMullen Just don’t get too focused on the scores you get but use them for valuable monitoring, analytics, and their extensive knowledge library. Also you can tie it into JIRA. @Siteimprove
I was reading my (fully sighted) son an ebook last night and it had a picture. I showed him and was telling him what VoiceOver's guess for the image description was. He asked, "But why didn't the book just provide a proper description?" :) Yes kiddo, the world sucks sometimes.
We've gotten a lot of feedback about how to improve the image description (or alt text) experience on Twitter. Today, we're launching 2 features to 3% of Twitter across Android, iOS, and Web: the public ALT badge and exposed image descriptions. 🧵 (1 of 6)
@worldofabe I speak at least two languages fluently too but it's hard to do two languages together, not much for the speaker, but for the audience. If the audience is only half as fluent in the other language, there will bound to be some gaps if you forgot to translate accordingly.
@worldofabe However, I also agree that this is hard cognitively to follow the slides and read the subtitles simultaneously as @accessibleweb has said. I hope there is something like a toggle of different audio channels and you can select to hear the language you want.
@worldofabe If your audience is close enough to read the subtitle (captions in another language), you can also try automated translations: https://t.co/vwar4LbKr6. There was a Powerpoint Translator add-in for those who have downloaded it before it was retired https://t.co/sz4ihCcCcI
