Azerbaijan has spent months trying to starve out the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh. Now, the military has launched an assault on the region that has worsened this crisis and sparked mass displacement. Unacceptable. We must hold the Azerbaijani government accountable.
BREAKING: As a result of the fuel depot explosion in Artsakh, hundreds of people are injured, and the number of casualties remains unknown. The hospitals in Artsakh are with limited medical resources and unable to meet the demands to help the injured.
To save these lives, we urgently need to airlift them to better-equipped medical facilities in Armenia.
We appeal to the International Committee of the Red Cross, Foreign Embassies in Armenia, and the Government of the Republic of Armenia for quick intervention to arrange helicopter transfers for these severely injured individuals to hospitals in Armenia.
The Berdzor (Lachin) Corridor is overloaded with vehicles and each second saved can save a life.
Take action now.
Rain is pouring in Artsakh. People burying loved ones. People rushing to leave with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Some tell me “where am I supposed to go — this is the only home I know.”
120,000 heartbreaking stories.
Retweet this video - produced by the #120000Reasons coalition of faith-based & human rights groups - calling out @JoeBiden for:
1) Arming oil-rich Azerbaijan's genocide against Artsakh
2) Abandoning 120,000 indigenous Christian Armenians
Then act: https://t.co/OO4v4JVWWY
The mayor of Sar Aghpur village in Artsakh was able to rush all the children out during Azerbaijan’s shelling of the town. They all made it out alive, except one child who passed away — his own son. This is just one of the heartbreaking stories of this siege.
How do you “negotiate” with someone that has held you hostage with a gun to your head? What Azerbaijan is doing now in Artsakh is akin to the Nazis saying they are in “dialogue” with the people they’ve placed in concentration camps.
We have tens of thousands of people homeless here in Artsakh. There are countless people without food and supplies. Thousands still missing. This is the largest humanitarian crisis in our history since the Armenian genocide.
More than 7,000 people have been evacuated from 16 communities in the Askeran, Martakert, Martuni, and Shushi districts of Artsakh, according to Artsakh's Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan.
Azerbaijani military is moving rapidly towards civilian population centers in Artsakh. The situation is incredibly tense. The lives of 120,000 people are at stake.
@SnoopDogg instead of performing a show in yerevan you should join the people on the streets who are using their last bits of energy to show support for Artsakh.
The world has forsaken Artsakh, its people, and its legacy.
Now, everyone will silently watch as the harrowing signs of genocide unfold right before their eyes.
After nine months of enduring hunger, we are now in a bomb shelter — sleeping with kids who yesterday dreamed of bread & today dream of waking up tomorrow. I don’t know if we will wake up but I hope you will remember us for resisting this genocide with honor. #NagornoKarabakh
