Humanity's Propulsion System: Storytelling

Investors and founders often talk about the power of storytelling from a capital raising perspective.

While this is a skill required to accumulate resources - this is a crude simplification of the importance of storytelling to mankind.

Stories are not simply vulgar tools for short-term gain.

Stories are not relics.

They’re not dusty records of what once happened or flat instruction sheets for what might be...

Stories are engines.

Sparks that detonate in the minds of the next generation and push humanity forward.

Every breakthrough begins as a story believed before the world is ready for it:

- Heroes heard tales of courage long before they ever stood in danger.

- Innovators imagined new worlds because someone else once sketched the outline.

Stories shape identity, sharpen ambition, and plant the ‘dangerous’ idea that the impossible is simply the unattempted…

Civilizations advance through this cycle:

a story inspires a mind -> that mind creates a leap -> the leap becomes a new story for those who follow.

Storytelling isn’t just entertainment.

It’s the mechanism of progress. Humanity’s propulsion system.

It’s how we move forward.

Most leaders and builders in Europe are all chilling ChatGPT and explaining how it will change society. But none of them are talking about the urgency of building alternatives. History repeats itself. From GAFA to bigger shit we’re all not looking beyond the tip of one’s nose.

@rektmando @RTFKT As a non-holder but NFT-savy anon, they lost me with the storyline and various things going on... @yugalabs, @moonbirds or @doodles are better at expanding without necessarily increasing complexity (for now!).

And where is the collab w/ @takashipom gone? Feels underutilized!

Maybe you could argue that it could be decentralised if it's the community voting, would that be correct? (could potentially allow it to be permissionless if anyone can vote?)

@divergencearran @mirkokiefer @kevinrose Not by an exchange (who is ultimately incentivised to maintain tokens being traded) but by the collection creators and/or their communities themselves.
Like Apple is making iPhones unusable in certain scenarios of theft.

@divergencearran @mirkokiefer @kevinrose My 2nd Q regarding hacks/thefts is the lack of actions from collections > if I steal a token, surely the creators wouldn't me to benefit from any associated value to the token so why not having on chain mechanism to "block" a token that has been acquired in a malicious way?
