The University of the Philippines Visayas has introduced fisherfolk leader Pablo Rosales as the speaker for its 47th Commencement Exercises.

Popularly known as "Ka Pabs," Rosales is one of the founding members of PANGISDA-Pilipinas (Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Mangingisda sa Pilipinas), a national alliance of artisanal and small-scale fisherfolk organizations established in 1998.
