@bdawson1902@England_RL Naahh. Squad is good. No need to not pick the best qualified & keen players.
Interesting you are happy for Max King to stay in though!
@steviemulcahy@49Dwalin@50SavesOfDeGea He makes a good point.
I know it is the medieval reasoning for the name differientiation, via historian Tony Collins. But meanings change, and all the footballs played professionally (plus Gaelic) involve kicking the ball with your foot at some point. (Moreso in the 1800's).
@Rugby_Scoop@Nelsonhdale Why? There is Rugby League in other places bar Australia!
What is impressive is that, despite being a largely domestic sporting organisation, the NRL is a bigger revenue generator than three truly international brands!
@Stevenstr03 I know, it isn't great. But the logic is that this is (roughly) the 12 statistic / ex-EU regions of the UK.
(With Merseyside & Manchester replacing two, etc...)
@Liam__pac1@LondonFaithful Why is that a failure?
Are the Melbourne Storm majority from Victoria?
Are Montreal Canadiens mostly made up of Québécois?
Are most Arsenal players from London?
The answer to all those questions is no, as that is not how professional sports teams work in the 21st century!
@ChrisSa77549552@SteveMascord Haha, so relevant to football!
Whether I forgot cock-walloping or groom-bothering, it is irrelevant.
The point remains, Adelaide & Devon's sports scenes are similar sizes and Rugby League is a substantial part of neither!
@Liam__pac1@LondonFaithful Are you seriously saying one side will miraculously improve a national team?! What utter rubbish!
It's like relying on Wakefield to make England better.
However, the fact that Catalans have more academy graduates in SL this year than Wakey, Cas, Bradford and KR tells a story!
@ChrisSa77549552@SteveMascord Do they play cricket in the winter?
Okay, so South Australia, with its 1.8m people has one A League and two AFL teams.
Devon with 1.3m has two EFL teams and a Prem Rugby team. Also, a pro basketball team, racing & more.
Similiar amounts to SA, but both have no pro RL!
@Liam__pac1@LondonFaithful@johnnyddavidson Are they supposed to?
Where does it say that in the Super League rules?
Also, do they not invest in developing talent?
They are in the top half of academies for Super League players produced.
