@dheisman@goblinodds i think it's just that they were extremely ambitious and had very high costs for something that's still pretty indie and niche in the end, and it didn't make as much $$ as they had bet on
@goblinodds@dheisman yeah when they released it on steam they went from free 2 play to buy 2 play & character DLCs, so no more paying for cosmetics or for entry to ranked, but now that
could have done a better job managing that stuff (they also laid off a bunch of people) but hey not too bad a model
