The problem with this thesis is that too much growth happens in Asia. America cannot have dollar hegemony without massive influence in Asia. We can leave Europe at any time, but we cannot ever leave Asia anytime this century.
I think we are going to see the eventual withdrawal of US influence in Taiwan and Ukraine.
Trump is removing Chinese/Russian influence from our hemisphere, Venezuela, Panama, Cuba, etc., and I think Trump wants to remove our presence from China and Russia’s neighborhood as well.
Putin and Xi stood down this entire time while Trump removed their influence in our region, and I think they did so in exchange for us to do the same. This fits into my overall thesis that we are seeing the world map be redrawn, and spheres of influence are being consolidated. The US will no longer be the world police, our military is coming home, and the superpowers will be in charge of their respective regions.
I think Trump is ending the proxy wars, the espionage, the weapons of mass destruction arms races, the Cold War that never ended, and preventing WW3 before it begins. We will stay in our yard, China/Russia will stay in their yard, and we can trade with each other and coexist peacefully. We can treat each other as global partners, instead of enemies on a collision course for war.
I think this is the end goal of the plan. A sustainable and lasting peace.
LINDSEY GRAHAM: “I go back to S.C. and I’m asking them to send their sons and daughters over to the Middle East. To all the isolationists: I’m not with you, I’m with Israel. God bless Israel. We should move all of our stuff to Israel.”
He actually said this on live television.
Ethiopia was never colonized.
For much of its history, it was one of the poorest countries on the continent.
Meanwhile, Vietnam was colonized by the French, devastated by decades of war, and is now on its way to serious economic prosperity.
If colonialism were the answer to why Africa is poor, Ethiopia should be rich and Vietnam should be broke. Neither is true.
Can we please retire this excuse?

WTF timeline are we on. Someone called me the MAGA whisperer and I’ll gladly take the title. Left, right, D or R we all want the same things. We’re being divided on purpose by the Epstein Elite Oligarch class because as long as we’re at each other’s throats, they get fat and rich off of our misery. The second we figure out we agree on more than we disagree, they’re done. Love your neighbor. Be yourself. Radical honesty. No fucks given, no fucks taken. Everything else is just noise. (But still fuck Jake “Brick Tamland” Tapper on any time line)
I'm often told, "Woke isn't real."
This was woke.
Woke prioritizes the idea that some identities are oppressed, and we must constantly focus on ending that oppression.
So, demonstrating after George Floyd's death becomes more important than a disease that will kill millions.
I'm not saying that racism and other bigotries aren't real, of course. But making them a singular focus and downplaying other problems (a worldwide pandemic!) in order to fight "white supremacy" was ridiculous.
It's even worse when you realize that those protests may have done more harm than good. "Defund the police" led to police forces pulling back on enforcing the law, and thus may have led to a spike in murders (the "Ferguson Effect").
For the last few decades we’ve mass imported unprecedented numbers of people.
More immigration than the Ellis Island era.
Young Americans have had to compete with the entire globe for a life in their own nation.
@AJA_Cortes It is also machine politics. LA and SF are both machines. Unions, government workers, these people don’t use brain cells when they vote. They just vote D. It is an extension of clocking in at their job.

You need to be teaching your children to be proud to be American
You must never allow anyone to tell them they should apologize for being American

Britain had a moment of silence for George Floyd. Our politicians kneeled en masse to show their outrage at his killing. "I can't breathe" became a slogan.
George Floyd died on the other side of the world. He wasn't British.
Henry Nowak *was* British and his treatment by the police was shocking and negligent in the extreme. Yet there is no minute of silence. There is no coordinated public campaign. There is no kneeling at sporting events.
And we all know why.
During the summer of BLM, some people said "All Lives Matter". This was treated as the highest form of racism and anyone who said this was immediately cancelled. Why? Because the people in charge don't actually think all lives matter in the same way.
They have created a racial hierarchy of victimhood where a career criminal who died through mistreatment by police in a foreign country with 0 evidence of racism like George Floyd is automatically sanctified because of the colour of his skin.
And Henry Nowak, a British man, one of ours, is automatically dismissed and ignored because of the colour of his.
This is the ugly fruit of so-called "anti-racism", an obsession with race that has created a two-tier society which treats people differently because of the colour of their skin.
This needs to stop.
Many ECoG proponents claim their modality is equivalent to intracortical when it comes to brain-computer interface (BCI) performance – but the science says otherwise.
Intracortical BCIs record single-neuron conversations, while surface-level ECoGs record the noisy, averaged activity of 50,000+ neurons. Even when using powerful AI signal processing downstream, ECoG devices simply cannot recoup the resolution that intracortical BCIs record in the first place.
This difference is apparent in speech restoration applications, where intracortical BCIs have demonstrated sub-1% error rates and real-time decoding from 125,000-word vocabularies. ECoG's best clinical results plateau at a three-year-old's vocabulary with multi-second delays.
ECoG certainly has its place in recording large sections of the brain, like in seizure and functional cortical mapping. But for advanced neuroprosthetics that demand high-fidelity data, you need access to rich, high-dimensional neural data – and that's only possible through intracortical BCI.
Our latest blog explores the neurophysiology, the physics of signal attenuation, and the clinical evidence that shows why intracortical is the leading modality for complex applications. Read on for more.
