I’m a firm believer that you list the first score based on who you a primarily referring to.

I.e. Villanova beat Georgetown 66-64 / Georgetown falls to Villanova 64-66.

Not that complicated.

I’ve seen a number of accounts, some school accounts likely run by young people and other young journalists, who report losing scores first.

The proper way to list a score is the winning score first every single time. Your team did not lose 68-75. They lost 75-68.
