Gov. @SpencerJCox (R-UT) to @davidaxelrod on midterm elections: "It's not looking great guys for my team...We're probably going to lose badly...Republicans are doing very poorly...if you look at the favorability of the Democratic Party, it's worse that the Republican Party in some polls right now...The truth is that people hate both parties and deservedly so."

Talarico: If you're not pro competition, you're not actually pro business. If you're trying to protect these monopolies, you're not actually a capitalist.
Former Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Charlie Hatcher will win the Republican primary in the state's newly redrawn 5th District, CNN's Decision Desk projects. He defeats Trump-endorsed conservative firebrand and incumbent Rep. Andy Ogles. https://t.co/0lV2pu2hqa
@AndyOgles must not think too highly of his constituents’ smarts — @chazmolder would live in the 5th District, but a few months ago TN redrew districts to draw him out of it in a desperate attempt to help the Ogles campaign. The American patriot who helped formulate the grievances against the British Crown, James Otis, called for a defense of this principle by popularizing the phrase taxation without representation is tyranny.
This principle was said by many to be the principle, the spark that sparked our revolution.
Yet today, the Senate is compelled to act because one person in our country wishes to raise taxes without the approval of the Senate, without the approval of the House, without the approval of the Constitution.

Good to see. This shouldn't be a partisan issue.
"A growing number of Republicans on Capitol Hill has raised concerns about President Trump’s expanding war against drug cartels carried out without consultation or authorization by Congress."
