Had a great panel at @IGDAAustin tonight and one convo brought up one of my favorite tests I had to do as an animator. A clear goal but open for creativity allows the studio how you tackle a problem. Also a time box for just one days work (8.5 hrs in my case) is perfect!
@Pontypants@thomasbrushdev Another good point @thomasbrushdev , make sure your objects "can" batch together. We also try to use the same shader for most all objects in the scene to give us the best possible batching setup. Materials can still reference different textures but shader needs to be the same.
