If you are looking for an expert in depth gait analysis and shoe recommendations, this is your guy!
I learned a lot from this and excited to make some tweaks to my running form and purchase some new shoes with confidence they are a good match for me.
New here? Let me introduce myself.
I'm Tim, 25, a fanatic runner with a bit of a shoe obsession, and a proud graduate of Human Motion Technology.
During my studies I learned biomechanics, gait analysis, and how to use technology to evaluate movement.
I interned at a podotherapy clinic that had access to Run3D, a clinical gait analysis system developed by an Oxford University spin-off. Pretty cool stuff.
I worked on a project to monitor running gait improvements remotely, so runners wouldn't need to visit the clinic every few weeks.
But what shocked me was the lack of shoe knowledge among the clinicians. They'd analyze someone's gait in detail but have no clue what shoes they were running in or how that affected the pattern.
I've also been fitting runners in running specialty retail for 3+ years now. And guess what? Most retail staff haven't had proper gait analysis training either.
I bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and practical shoe expertise.
Beyond my degree, I've consumed an unhealthy amount of podcasts, books, and YouTube videos on everything running. Training load, mechanics, rehab, prehab, strength work, foot health, I want to understand the full picture, not just one piece.
Because running problems rarely have one cause. Sometimes it's the shoes. Sometimes it's running mechanics. Sometimes it's training load. Usually it's a combination.
My online gait analysis helps runners understand how they move, which shoes actually fit their gait, and gives practical strength and mobility tips. I've done 35+ so far, helping runners from the Netherlands to the US.
In 2026, I'm also launching in-person services—treadmill gait analysis and lactate testing. Excited to work with runners face to face.
If you want to run better, not just run more, stick around.

Late post...but just wrapped up a rather difficult 2 weeks 😅

🏛Indianapolis Monumental Marathon-Nov 8th
Completely different races and I was the only one dumb enough to do both😅
Quads are toast!!!! 🦵
Last night while I was sleeping comfortably for 8 hours....David Goggins passed approximately 7 people in the Moab 240....
I feel like such a slacker 🤣🤣
Rooting for @davidgoggins and of course @Glazeruns!

Instant regret heading out for a run and not eating enough. Always get that mid run full body hunger. My legs are hungry 😅

Speed progression trail run today. Loving the Hoka Mafate Speed 4. Ran my 100k in these. Fantastic shoe. Just hit 200 miles in them today.

@runliftrunlift It took me awhile to learn this. Am I gonna push through this 1 training run and potentially injure myself? Or play it safe and live to run another day.
Late post but did my 1st 100k trail a couple weeks ago.
East Fork 100k. 67 mile course.
What an insane experience.
Running for hours at night by myself in the woods 😅
Finished 12th out of 39 people.
Only 23 Finished.
The volunteers were life savers!
100 miles next? 👀
