The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

If 20% of my monthly pay was forcefully taken from me under the threat of my employer facing prison time if they let me have the full amount, I should be able to take it without having to wait for some pension scheme, before which I will die. This is some bullshit.
It seems it wasn’t a bug 😡
🔥Apple may remove PWA support for European users, a feature launched by Steve Jobs in 2008.
👉It also means no Web Push.
⚠️Installed PWAs may lose their storage and will render a dialog saying “it will open from your default browser from now on”
Pretending the issue doesn't exist doesn't make it go away. If you actually want to solve it, present it, analyze it, destructure it, and for God's sake, educate!
Sokka's initial sexism in the series isn't there for no reason. He's been brought up as a lone grown-up male protecting his village. I feel his sexism is both the result of his inexperience and a self-defense mechanism because he was scared to carry out his duty.
As he travels the world, he meets female warriors who are tremendously better than him. He gets his arse humbled like no other, and learns that mastery knows no gender.
That progression of a tiny arc in a character is why I absolutely love Avatar.
I do not understand why smart people have to keep explaining this every couple years.
No-build is idiotic. You're purposefully serving worse perf to your users just to score meaningless internet points with disgruntled web devs madz about "modern web dev complexity" or whatever

As a library maintainer in the React ecosystem, I'm getting pretty frustrated by the churn around React Server Components.
Really starting to question whether the touted benefits are worth the pain being inflicted on lib maintainers:

(they built a product around an 0day in a certificate management tool, got caught, and I'm hoping this results in a root CA being incinerated because that would be funny)

Remote work was clearly a mistake.
I hate being able to work and live wherever is best for me 😡
It's awful that technology has allowed us to talk and see people who are so far away 🤬
It's stupid that people are able to choose an environment that helps them focus 💀
