Happy Birthday, to my brother, mentor and leader Imran Khan.
A leader imprisoned, but never defeated.
A voice silenced, but heard by millions.
A man in chains, whose spirit remains free.
May this be your last birthday behind bars.
Pakistan awaits you. 🇵🇰

🇵🇸 Zayn Malik reshared his 2014 “#FreePalestine” post more than 12 years later.
“This is for any confused individuals.. check the date ;)” he wrote alongside the original post.
Still no reason as to why they’re incarcerated. Please turn your attention towards Pakistan. It’s currently a state of chaos, with violent, vindictive criminals in charge.
They only fear foreign intervention. People within Pakistan are oppressed, if they speak out, they put their families in life threatening danger. @andyburnham@Ed_Miliband, I implore you to take a stand. Urge this establishment to listen to reason and free those unjustly incarcerated.
Jemima Goldsmith calls on the international community to intervene to bring an end to the human rights abuses that Imran Khan is suffering.
“It is no longer simply a Pakistani political matter. It is a human rights emergency.” @Jemima_Khan#FreeImranKhan
This is a disgrace.
Now my Aunts Dr. Uzma and Noureen, along with my cousins Shershah and Shahrez have now been abducted as well.
They have broken into my aunties and cousins houses and forced them
into vehicles with no explanation.
No reasons for arrest have been stated.
No news has been released as to where they have been taken.
This is criminal behaviour. Inexcusable. The Pakistani people are petrified of their own leaders.
No upstanding nation should tolerate this criminal establishment. Intervention is now imperative.
The world MUST take action.
🚨JUSTICE FOR IMRAN KHAN
🚨URGENT GLOBAL CALL TO ACTION
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan remains imprisoned, confined in a 6-by-8-foot cell described as a “death cell,” amid serious concerns about prolonged isolation, access to legal counsel and family, and independent medical care.
The Justice for Imran Khan campaign calls upon elected representatives, governments, human-rights organisations, and international institutions to demand justice through independent courts. His hearings have been denied, delayed, or conducted without meaningful access to due process.
We urge authorities to ensure fair and transparent court proceedings, humane treatment, and respect for his fundamental legal and human rights.
✍️ Take action now: Sign the campaign and send a letter to your elected representative demanding:
* An immediate end to prolonged isolation
* Full and unhindered access to his legal team
* Regular and meaningful access to his family
* Independent and appropriate medical care
* Protection of his fundamental legal and human rights
Every signature and every letter matters. A coordinated international response will demonstrate the scale of global concern and ensure that elected representatives and international institutions cannot ignore these serious issues.

Former Pakistan Cricket Team Captain, Javed Miandad raised voice for Imran Khan. The world knows about his honesty and how he has been kept in jail illegally. It’s time to stop the fascism on Imran Khan!

"The Foreign Office needs to be much more robust" in helping former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan, says Lord Goldsmith.
"It’s really grubby, really quite shocking and deeply distressing".

Prime Minister @andyburnham and Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband : how much longer will Britain remain silent?
For three years the father of my two sons, and Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has been brutally penalised by his political opponents, in a personal vendetta by Army Chief, Asim Munir, which according to the UN, amounts to torture and which is now taking a potentially fatal toll on his physical and mental health.
He has endured 3 years of solitary confinement. For nearly ten months now his family has been denied contact with him. He has been deprived of the most basic human contact, denied access to books, lawyers and doctors.
The international human-rights standards are unequivocal. Under the UN’s Nelson Mandela Rules, solitary confinement lasting more than 15 consecutive days is prohibited and amounts to torture.
He has endured this treatment not for 15 days, but for three years.
Pakistan’s own Supreme Court has now intervened: ordering comprehensive medical treatment, access to his personal doctor, regular family visits and twice-weekly calls with his sons.
Yet those orders are being defied.
This is no longer simply a Pakistani political matter. It is a human-rights emergency.
He has deep and lifelong ties to Britain. He studied at Oxford University, captained Oxford University cricket and spent years playing county cricket in England. His relationship with this country stretches back more than half a century. His charitable activities were internationally recognised, and include building the only free cancer hospital in Pakistan as well as a university.
His sons, my two boys, Sulaiman and Kasim, are British citizens. They have been forced to watch their father’s health decline from thousands of miles away, prevented from visiting him, denied visas, publicly threatened by government officials with arrest themselves, and even denied court-mandated regular phone calls.
I have repeatedly appealed to the UK government to intervene. Purported attempts at back channelling have evidently failed. The previous Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy informed me in writing that Britain would not intervene if my sons, British citizens, are arrested when they travel to Pakistan to visit their father.
@FCDOGovUK: Britain must now speak out publicly and unequivocally. Demand that Pakistan comply with its own Supreme Court; restore Imran Khan’s medical access, his right to see his family, end his prolonged isolation and uphold his fundamental human rights.
Pakistan is a Commonwealth country. Britain has a long and proud tradition of standing against arbitrary detention, inhumane treatment and the denial of fundamental rights. Those principles mean very little if we invoke them only selectively and neglect them when inconvenient.
This an appeal to the new Burnham government to please now do the right thing.
What is happening to @imrankhanPTI is an abuse on every conceivable level.
Passively monitoring the situation is plainly not enough. It is time for active diplomacy.
