Fairness at work. Dignity in service. Equality in reward.
India’s bank employees are asking for two long-pending and legitimate demands:
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5-Day Banking Week is not a new demand. It was already agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What employees seek now is only its timely implementation.
At the same time, PLI must be fair, transparent and inclusive—recognising the collective contribution of every employee, not rewarding a select few through a discriminatory system. Every deposit mobilised, every loan processed, every customer served and every target achieved is the result of teamwork.
Bank employees are not seeking special treatment.
They are seeking fairness, equality and implementation of what has already been agreed.
A valued workforce builds stronger banks and a stronger India.

Dear Government,
The bankers have waited long enough. Now, perhaps the waiting room needs to be closed.
OUR DEMANDS:
✅ 5-Day Banking: Work-life balance should not remain a “future proposal.”
✅ Fair PLI: If everyone contributes to the bank’s success, why is fairness still selective?
✅ Pending Issues: Please resolve them before they become historical documents.
✅ Equal Treatment: Same bank, same contribution, same respect.
We seek justice, not another committee, clarification or extension. Because bankers work for the bank every day. Their rights should not work only on government files.

Public sector bank employees delivered a remarkable turnaround, cutting GNPA from 14.58% in March 2018 to 1.93%, while achieving record profits with fewer hands.
The reward? Five-Day Banking remains pending, while the revised PLI framework may push 20% into zero-PLI brackets.
So the Government’s formula appears simple: collective effort for profits, selective rewards for employees.
End this double injustice. Implement Five-Day Banking and ensure Fair PLI based on collective performance.

🔴 COMMITMENT MADE? THEN WHERE IS THE IMPLEMENTATION?
➡️ Honour the commitment. Implement 5 Days Banking.
➡️ Unilateral PLI? Put it on hold. Withdraw the discriminatory scheme.
➡️ PLI needs a discussion, not a diktat. Modify it through bilateral talks with Unions.
➡️ Residual issues are not museum pieces. Resolve them.
Commitment is not a wallpaper.
📢 It is meant to be honoured.
ONE VOICE. ONE PLATFORM. ONE UNITED DEMAND.

A unique policy formula: employees pay with extra working time, while implementation waits for another day.
Five-Day Banking was agreed with employees accepting approximately 40 additional minutes of work every day. Yet the commitment remains pending.
Meanwhile, the revised PLI system offers extraordinary rewards to selected brackets while assigning ZERO to the Bottom 20%.
Collective benefit delayed. Selective rewards delivered.
Government must honour the Five-Day Banking commitment and replace forced ranking with Fair PLI.
