If you are starting from the bottom, have reasonable IQ, and good enough work ethic, the best way to build generational wealth is to:
⁃work in tech (doesn’t have to be big tech) - have a career in tech
⁃save
⁃invest
Don’t need to do anything super fancy.
I think it’s the new American Dream equivalent.
I can almost guarantee that you will be in the top 10%-20% population of the U.S. in 10-15 years.

Having survived two previous market resets (2001, 2009), people frequently ask me how this 2022 market reset is different and how it is the same. The obvious similarity is that valuation multiples have collapsed. We went from a "glass very full" mindset to one with many concerns.
I’m increasingly convinced the future interview process for knowledge workers will be a short contract stint + references. Much higher signal for employers + candidates.
A few 45 min conversations before offer is like a roulette bet. Very little skill involved, just luck.
On Coddling
After my brother’s near-drowning, he had to relearn most things. By “most things” I mean: how to control his hands and arms, how to direct his eyes at something, how to swallow his saliva, how to stand, how to walk, how to talk, etc.
