@dineshmudigondo@433 If injuries didn't matter, R9 would be in the GOAT debate. Great players are defined by many traits and availability is one of the most important ones. If you can't play anywhere near of a full season of football, you're out of discussion.
Underdog gimmick when your puny squad only has the reigning Ballon d'Or winner, two of the T5 players in the world, half a billion €'s warming your bench and your fuckass defense that has conceded a whopping one more goal than Spain has 🥀
🫵🏽🇪🇸 Didier Deschamps: “Spain are clear favorites, without a doubt”.
“I’m not putting pressure on them. Scoring a lot, only one goal conceded… they’re favorites”.
The VAR check on Embolo's dive was perfectly executed. The same rule was applied during USA-Paraguay for Almiron's dive. Still a bunch of asswipes whine about something they clearly have no idea about.
@MattPicks_@jiggyblocc_ng@FabrizioRomano It was a mistaken identity. If the referee hadn't given the yellow to Paredes first, the yellow couldn't be overturned. So by making a mistake against Argentina, he accidentally helped them by allowing VAR to send Embolo off. I love it.
@LokiJulianus What opportunity exactly? Topping the group was already decent, making it to the RO16 was actually an overachievement. Your roster is straight buns, you should genuinely be grateful for going out with some dignity, way better teams have had it way worse than 4-1.
The Spanish system doesn't really do him justice. No proper 9, barely any runs behind the line. It's also very much possible that he just isn't ripe yet to lead an attack by himself and it's alright. We expect a lot from him but maybe it's ok to admit that he isn't THAT guy yet.
There was a point where Yamal genuinely looked like an alien level prospect. I don’t get that feeling anymore. The gap between him and the Messi/Ronaldo convos feels much bigger now.
@LaLigaMichael I heard these awards are voted by the fans, that explains a lot. The average viewer cares more about the awards than what they actually see on the pitch.
@204EDS@CalebElormmKadu I kinda included them in the 2012 version. Messi under Pep, Messi with MSN and Messi without Neymar are the three main eras of his club career.
