The margins in hockey are just like pro golf. Razor thin. There are 5,000+ Junior A players in the country and 1200 NCAA spots… sure the top 25% of guys are clearly better, but a lot of it comes down to politics, coaches knowing scouts, favoritism, nepotism, and just plain luck with playing time at showcases etc. I’m so sick of people saying “oh you played club” when my team had 3 NCAA D1 transfers and multiple guys who chose program over NCAA D3 programs. We tied NCAA programs in scrimmages, won 25 games a year and a national championship, yet people act like I played intramural floor hockey. Today that changes!!!!!!

Powerful & poignant scene as the City Ground remembers Adam Johnson, an American hockey player tragically killed in an on-ice accident playing for Nottingham Panthers. ❤️🙏
