@SkyNews ..
A complaint !
@adamboultonTABB ‘s report on the death of Ann Widdicombe today ..
has to be one of the most crass, disrespectful reports I’ve heard on anyone in politics ..
The fact this is also a Police investigation makes it even worse.
To repeat personal stories about her; and using phraseology such as an ‘ old maid’
and more ..
She was a very clever, intellectual, conviction politician who had more decency in her than most people I’ve ever met.
She was kind and thoughtful and would never hold a grudge with anyone when differing views were held ..
This is an outrageous slur on her character and reputation..
and I hope you’re damn well sacked !!
I've been at @LivingFreedomUK all day & struck by how many young attendees are upset by Ann's death, a tribute the mark she made. Now to hear she may have been a victim of violence is so devastating, as she was so generous, even to those she disagreed with. It's to her credit we were unlikely allies as fellow MEPs in Brussels, both of us suprised how well we got on. The shock of this is so awful.
🚨 BREAKING IRAN: A major explosion has struck an oil refinery in Poldokhtar (Western Iran), alongside 3 separate explosions reported in Konarak (Southeastern Iran).
I will curb my language but that tweet is disgusting. You profess to be an advocate of human rights, and the right to be treated with dignity after death is a basic human right everyone should have, yet you rejoice in her death. Yes, her religion guided her views on equality issues, and I had many disagreements with her, but as a gay man I counted her as a friend, as did many others. She was actually a profoundly kind person. She endorsed my candidacy knowing of my sexuality. She softened her views on equal marriage and told me in 2019 she would not support reversing it.
So be ashamed of yourself today, Peter. You do some great work, but in this instance it's you that's the bigot. Bigoted against the dead, and bringing upset to those of us who counted Ann as a friend. Think on that.
🚨 Bild: The Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg is at risk of closure, and hundreds of workers face layoffs because the Qatar Investment Authority is blocking a deal between the plant and Israeli Defense company Rafael to produce components for the Iron Dome. The Qatar Investment Authority, the third-largest shareholder in Volkswagen, is vetoing the deal with Rafael.
Bigotry is defined as an intolerance towards people because of their beliefs or views.
How can you not see that, in celebrating Ann’s death because of differing views to yours, you’re the bigot?
The reason we know black women who demand to be in white women's spaces can't be trusted, is because they demand to be in white women's spaces.
^This is how you sound.
I disagreed loudly, and 100%, with #AnnWiddicombe on the treatment of pregnant prisoners, maternity rights at work, Brexit and v many other issues. But she was extremely supportive of my stance on women's rights to single sex spaces, and the hounding and cancellation of those who agreed. As so often in the febrile world of Politics, it's almost always possible to find some common ground. And whatever her views, she was a formidable woman, active in a political world still dominated by men. #RIP
If you're labelling a rape support centre "anti-rights" it becomes very apparent that the only rights you care about are men's rights. There is a sick misogyny deep in the heart of Amnesty, and it's not the first time we've seen it.
The lack of basic decency in this tweet is shocking, but something we've all unfortunately come to expect from today's left. Disgusting. https://t.co/BxnSG3xdqf
A ruSSian propagandon, Romanov, describes a new tactic used by Ukrainian forces:
“The enemy is using new formats of infantry group operations. Single vehicle movements and columns are still encountered, and sometimes operations of this type are successful. However, thanks to dense vegetation, enemy personnel are increasingly moving light and infiltrating positions in small groups as covertly as possible.
Due to the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the field of aerial logistics, assault tactics have naturally evolved. Personnel move through the kill zone carrying only light equipment, while their supplies are delivered by air. Let me explain: this is not some rundown position where they simply drop food and medical supplies. This is a fresh assault group receiving body armor, ammunition, drones, heavy weapons, Starlinks, and other equipment delivered by a ‘Baba Yaga’ drone. After receiving everything necessary, the fighters make their push. Moreover, the assault is effective because they do not have to carry all their gear on their backs for dozens of kilometers.
A natural transformation of logistics has taken place. It has not disappeared — it has moved into the air. Individual operations have evolved into a supply system. The enemy’s dominance in the air has not only complicated our logistics, but now our assaults can unexpectedly encounter a heavy machine gun or a well-equipped group with anti-tank weapons in places where previously there were only exhausted soldiers with rifles and minimal ammunition.”
🚨 Ebrahim Mortazavi-Nasab, the Basij commander in Shiraz and one of the leading figures responsible for the regime’s repression in the city, has been killed in last night’s attacks.
