Sep Sci and MS specialist research group in Chemistry at UoS. We provide innovative solutions for Academia and Industry using modern techniques. Tweets our own.
Welcome to our twitter account! We are a Separation Science (LC, GC, GCxGC, SFC) and Characterisation (MS, FTICR, QToF, IM-MS, Q, QQQ, QIT, ToF-ToF) group at @UoSChemistry led by John Langley @geeejayell and @julieherniman#AnalyticalChemistry
Many congratulations to our three Chemistry PhD students Rebecca Baker, Molly Wilson, and Rob Carrol from the Characterisation and Analytics research section for winning prizes for their research presentations at recent conferences.
We have an exciting new PhD position available in the Essex group, investigating protein and ligand sampling using fully adaptive simulated tempering.
All information about the project and how to apply can be found here:

My research focuses on the use of Supercritical Fluid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (SFC-MS) for analysis of pesticides. Here is some background to my project and some reasons why you should consider SFC for your method development! #RSCPoster#RSCAnalytical
I am happy to share my first #RSCPoster which is an introduction to my project on the characterisation of therapeutic oligonucleotides by tandem MS. Happy to answer any questions #RSCAnalytical
Excited to share my #RSCPoster today, exploring the issue of fuel delivery system blockages and how a combination of different chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques can help understand why these blockages occur! #RSCAnalytical
Yesterday N2 generator trips mains circuit. Overnight 2 systems dead as next circuit in lab trips, a few hours reveal a motor short on rough pump. Swapped out. Not to be left out the plug to the monitor commits suicide and melts the fuse into the plug housing. Sigh @RealTimeChem
