You read me right. The Nigerian Government has designated me a spy and through the Nigerian Police @PoliceNG sent me a letter of invitation to appear before their Cybersecurity Crime Centre on allegations of ‘Espionage and computer related matters’

The Nigerian state is accusing Secrets Reporters and myself of leaking government information and also giving information to foreign governments, an allegation so heavy, which is obviously the first of its type against a journalist in modern days.

I have served Nigeria despite the country being ruthless to me and almost assassinating me through the same Nigerian Police force under Egbetokun. First, Pastor Adeboye went to the US and said he does not agree with those who said Tinubu has not done enough. That Tinubu has done his bit.

Things are happening in this Lagos o and it’s unfair to law abiding citizens. If you don’t mix with people, you won’t hear things.

Between Ketu and Mile 12, these boys snatch phones inside traffic. They jump to snatch phones inside BRT. They pickpocket at Mile 12 and Ketu. If you try to hustle bus to Ikorodu thinking you are struggling with fellow passengers, phones ti lor.

Some days ago, two women were pickpocketed at Mile 12 losing 3 phones while rushing bus. Two iPhone 12 pro and one 13 pro max. They didn’t even know until one was looking for hers and told the other to switch on her phone torch for her 😭😭

Thank God, they got to the area and the tracking started. Someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone helped them to enter Mile 12 deepest home of bad boys. They paid 20 for connection and they were to pay 50k each on the phones if they can find it.

This is no joke, over 50 phones were brought out. Over 50 iPhones and theirs were not even there. The bad guys had to agree that it’s another sect that carried out the operation and their phones should already be in Mushin. They had to reach out to the buyer from Mushin who tried but from the many phones with him, none belonged to them. He already told them he will only release each phone at 100k. Certainly, the phones were in the hands of another sect.

The crime ring is very deep. These boys have buyers who will sell the phones in pieces. While they were still inside the lungu, boys came in with iPhone 13 and 15 pro max that they just snatched. Another victim 😭.

These boys are everywhere. Mushin, Ikorodu Garage, Mile 12, Ketu, Mile 2, Alakija, Oshodi, everywhere but they have standby buyers.

We don’t have government who will help us. They do all these in front of Mile 12 police station and nobody will do anything.

Be security conscious because you have no one. Hold your phone in your hand when you struggle for bus. 🙏🙏

Nigerians should be grateful to Matthew Adeyemi Adeniyi, whichever way this scandal ends up.

If @aonanuga1956's elaborate and utterly implausible treatise on the matter is to be believed, Adeyemi has proved what many of us have alleged since 2015 - that the @OfficialAPCNg is a collection of supremely incompetent and greedy criminals.

He fooled the Federal Secretariat management team into allocating offices to his "fake" agency, and thus proved that they are at the very least utterly incompetent and possibly irredeemably corrupt.

He fooled the @cenbank, @DrYemiCardoso et al, into opening CBN accounts for his agency, thus proving that the CBN under Cardoso has turned into a cesspit of an insane level of incompetence and again, possibly fetid corruption.

He fooled the President Tinubu and his Minister of Finance into including his "fake" agency in the 2026 budget, this proving their lack of diligence and lack of dedication to their jobs.

He fooled the National Assembly, led by @SenGodswill, into passing that budget, with an actual financial allocation of billions of ₦₦₦ for his "fake" agency, thus proving that the National Assembly of the @OfficialAPCNg is nothing but a rubber stamp and possibly deeply corrupt.

If Adeyemi is right, and the agency really exists and was in fact created by the Presidency, included in the budget and given an allocation from taxpayer funds, he has proved that the @OfficialAPCNg government of @officialABAT is a cesspit of metastasised grand larceny, greed, corruption, avarice, and just plain looting - which is a position many of us have long held, since before Tinubu acquired the Presidency.

As resilient as Nigeria has proved to be, I do not think Nigeria will survive this stratospheric level of conjoined corruption and incompetence.

Government accounts require institutional approvals, documentation, verification, internal authorization and multiple public officers doing their jobs.

If one man truly bypass all those controls alone, then Nigeria no get accounting system.

Then come the sentence wey accidentally tell the whole story.

The Presidency admits the alarm was raised after the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council complained say the office was operating "at cross-purposes" with it.

Read that again.

The problem, according to the statement, was not immediately that the office did not exist.

The problem was that another government body complained about what it was doing.

That distinction matters.

Very well.

Because Nigerians are entitled to ask whether the concern arose only after institutional boundaries were crossed.

That is a fair question.

The press release spends page after page calling one man names.

Impostor.

Fraudster.

Con artist.

Excellent.

Now tell Nigerians something even more important.

Who processed the paperwork?

Who approved the correspondence?

Who recognized the office?

Who authorized access?

Who approved whatever documentation was relied upon?

Who inserted the budget line?

Who signed off before the budget reached the National Assembly?

Who failed every internal control that taxpayers spend billions every year to maintain?

Because budgets no dey type themselves.

Allocations no dey approve themselves.

Government offices no dey accidentally wander into national budgets like lost goats.

Every line inside an Appropriation Act has fingerprints.

Somebody propose am.

Somebody review am.

Somebody defend am.

Somebody approve am.

If Prince Adeyemi truly deceive the system, Nigerians suppose know exactly how the system was deceived.

And if he did not act alone, Nigerians deserve to know who else dey inside racket.

Either way, the official statement raises almost as many questions as it tries to answer.

Calling one man a fraud dey easy.

Explaining how a supposedly fictitious agency allegedly navigated multiple layers of the federal bureaucracy and appeared in official budget documents na the difficult part.

That is the part Nigerians are still waiting to hear.

Until then, this statement reads less like the final word and more like the opening argument.

Because one thing stubbornly refuses to disappear.

Appropriation Acts no dey write themselves. But as we all sabi, under Tinubu, Nigeria no get government, e get racket where only objective na to steal Nigeria money finish.

The biggest problem I see is that this government is not bothered about scandals at all.
The government has no shame, it does not care about its image.

All they need to do is try to add a little stain on Peter Obi so every politician will have dirt.
