Many technological age checking methods are ineffective and introduce additional risks to children and adults alike including security breaches, privacy intrusion, errors, digital exclusion and censorship.

Companies must choose from a broad spectrum of age checking systems, some of which may be dangerously intrusive like requiring face scans or demanding ID cards and passports.

We must avoid anything like a digital ID system for the internet that would both eradicate privacy online and fail to keep children safe.

Last month, a bloke called Andrew Webley was running his tiny web design firm in Guildford, UK, with net assets of less than £50,000.

Then he listed the firm on the stock market, raised about 5 million quid from investors and spent it on Bitcoin...

So this company, Smarter Web Company PLC, is basically a mini-Microstrategy and Mr. Webley is a mini-Saylor.

But here's the crazy part - the share price has rocketed in its first few days and that five million quid's worth of Bitcoin now has a market cap of $175 million!! That's what the market says it's worth, cos people keep buying the shares, so 🤷‍♂️

I think this might be the most overvalued stock I've EVER seen.

Just to put it all into perspective, last month, in the company's "Retail Investor IPO" document, it boasts that "Andrew Webley, founder of The Smarter Web Company, has committed to invest a minimum
of £30,000...through his ISA." 😂

And now his company's worth £175 million. 💀
