Decent HR policy idea:
Hiring only highschool sports captains into management positions.
Even better if you could somehow verify they weren’t particularly naturally talented at their chosen sports.
If you're thinking about buying an SMB, look in the mirror and ask:
"Why the f*ck do I think I can do a better job than the guy / gal who took the biz from 0 to $5mm?"
You probably can't, and there's a good chance you'll do worse.
If you don't have a good answer, move on.
