INDIAN ARMY RESPONDS SWIFTLY TO EMERGENCIES ACROSS POONCH, RESTORES CONNECTIVITY AND PROVIDES MEDICAL AID
Poonch: 21 Jul 2026
In a series of swift humanitarian assistance operations across the Rajouri - Poonch region, troops of White Knight Corps responded promptly to emergencies caused by heavy rainfall, flash floods and infrastructure damage, reaffirming the Indian Army’s commitment to serving local communities during times of need.
At Jaran Wali Gali, Poonch the boundary wall of PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya collapsed onto several parked vehicles, creating an immediate hazard and disrupting movement on NH-144A. Troops of White Knight Corps reached the site without delay and, using specialised equipment, cleared the debris, extricated the trapped vehicles and assisted local residents. Their coordinated efforts helped restore traffic on the national highway and prevented further inconvenience to commuters and the surrounding population.
In another operation near Khari Karmara, Poonch, heavy rains and strong currents damaged a vital bridge and disrupted local connectivity. Personnel of the White Knight Corps, in close coordination with 79 RCC (BRO) and local residents, undertook urgent restoration work. Despite difficult weather and challenging ground conditions, the damaged link was restored within three hours, reconnecting the affected community and enabling the resumption of essential movement. The operation highlighted effective civil-military cooperation and the collective resolve to restore normalcy at the earliest.
Meanwhile, following a flash flood at Dara Sangla, Poonch an iron bridge was washed away, isolating the village and restricting access to medical care. An Indian Army Medical Team crossed the flooded nala using an improvised wooden log bridge and reached the affected residents. The team conducted rapid triage, provided emergency first aid, treated an injured civilian and administered essential medicines to women, children and other villagers. The timely intervention helped stabilise the injured and prevented further health complications.
These operations demonstrated the Indian Army’s preparedness, professionalism and humanitarian ethos under demanding and hazardous circumstances. Through rapid rescue, restoration and medical assistance, troops ensured public safety, restored critical connectivity and extended timely support to affected families. The coordinated response also reinforced the enduring bond of trust between the Indian Army, civil agencies and local communities across the region.

Three questions that every student protestor is asking Government today over NEET:
1. If the NEET system is genuinely secure, why has the Government not publicly released a complete, independent, time-bound account of every alleged leak, irregularity, beneficiary and official failure and why should students trust the same system again?
2. Why is the Government using police force against students demanding answers, while the people responsible for any paper leak or examination failure have not faced equally visible and swift accountability?
3. If the Education Ministry accepts political responsibility for the integrity of India’s biggest medical entrance exam, why should the Education Minister remain in office while students are protesting for weeks and the credibility of NEET continues to be questioned?
The minister should have resigned much earlier! This govt could’ve saved face that way, and maybe could’ve even be seen as being accountable and responsible. Now I doubt they can walk away from this without handing a victory to the opposition, or making things worse for themselves!

#BREAKING: Delhi Police has detained over 70 protestors for indulging in violence today in and around Jantar Mantar. More people to be likely detained. Police examining CCTV footage in and around Central Delhi. Over 100+ cops injured in stone pelting and physical attacks.
All of them are on camera, they hesitated knowing that they are breaking the law but they are egged on by a ring leader. This is the sad thing. The ring leader is usually connected, won’t get booked, the small guys get their background record tainted.
REPORTER: How you got injured?
OFFICER: My arm fractured while rescuing some girls.
