Congratulations Sammy Kamau Ngotho for winning the Olkalou Parliamentary party primaries for the @DCP_Democracy garnering a total of 12,957 votes.
This contest has demonstrated to the people of Kenya that our party is a free and democratic space for all and it is the voice of the Kenyan people that we listen to. We are committed to open democratic processes and it is the people who own the party; they make the choice of the leaders they want to be led by.
I most sincerely thank the great people of Olkalou for coming out in large numbers to vote for the candidate of their choice. To the thousands of our party members who came out to vote, we thank you for believing in our party, your party of choice and keeping peace during the entire process.
For those who did not make it, you are our true heroes for participating in the contest and agreeing to support the winner. I want to encourage you that your place in the party is secure and you should take an active role in campaigning for the party’s candidate.
I also thank the National Elections Board for meticulous planning that resulted to what is now being labeled as the most well organized and transparent party nominations since the advent of multi party democracy in 1992. To the Returning Officer, all Presiding Officers, Polling Clerks and the Party Secretary General and his staff for logistical support, you did a commendable job.
Finally, I thank the National Police Service in Nyandarua County for providing security in all polling stations, the tallying center and patrolling the entire constituency to ensure there was law and order. The police lived up to their motto of Utumishi Kwa Wote and I pray this will be replicated on polling day on July 16th 2026 and indeed the whole country as we prepare for the General Elections next year
Once again, congratulations to you Sammy Kamau Ngotho and the very best ahead of the July 16th 2026 polls.

🚨 Paul Pogba on Cristiano Ronaldo during his darkest period :
“When the suspension news came out, my phone was full for two days… then suddenly, silence. People I thought were brothers disappeared. Agents stopped calling. Friends became busy. Football can make you feel loved… but it can also show you who’s real.”
“But one name I didn’t expect to hear from was Cristiano.”
“He didn’t call me to talk about football, training, or headlines. He asked me one thing… ‘How is your family? Are you okay mentally?’ That hit me differently.”
“A few days later he told me, ‘If you need anything anything for your family, your recovery, your life call me. Pride should never stop you from accepting help.’”
“At that moment, I wasn’t talking to Cristiano Ronaldo the superstar… I was talking to a man who understood pain, pressure, and loneliness.”
“I’ve played with champions before… but in hard times, you discover who the real ones are.”

ODM needs to ask itself what is its identity? What is at its core? You cannot as a party move around the country popularizing another party ethos. What Winnie said is true , ODM needs to put its house in order first. Not just move around the country shouting Tutam and broad based. What does the party stand for outside of UDA. Its is an opportune and unavoidable moment for the Orange Democratic Movement to undertake a deliberate process of ideological re-anchoring and institutional recalibration, aimed at restoring the party to its foundational ethos and normative compass. This moment calls for a reassertion of core values, a recommitment to ethical clarity, and a revival of the party’s historic mandate as a vehicle for social justice, participatory democracy, and people-centred governance. ODM must consciously transcend personality-driven politics and re-embed itself within a values-based framework that privileges principle over expediency.Strengthening the party, therefore, is not merely an exercise in organisational expansion or electoral arithmetic. It requires the rebuilding of internal coherence, the enforcement of ethical standards, and the revitalisation of grassroots legitimacy as the moral bedrock upon which political authority is derived. After all this, then now look for suitors, if need be.
Sadio Mané was seen on the streets carrying his mother, honoring her as the mother of an AFCON champion. The joy on her face said everything—pure happiness and pride. Congratulations to the Mané family. As Senegalese people gathered around to support him, the moment became truly unforgettable and deeply beautiful. 💛🇸🇳
