& now everyone treats us like shit. & thinks they have a right to comment on how frontline workers talk about & grieve the trauma we are going through. Disgusting.

When they tell you all the emotions you experience in nursing, they never tell you how hard it is once you become attached to a patient and they start to deteriorate right before your eyes. My heart hurts tonight. 💔

@_Zac13 Patient acuity is so high right now. And yet, we have to just deal with it and take the abuse. And soon our incentive will be ending (for the first time in almost 2 years of having an incentive)

Today I was at a 6:1 when I should have been a 4:1 ratio bc of the amount of care my ONE patient needed. Q2hr blood draws, new IVs to be placed, monitoring argatroban, a viciously violent dementia patient, 2 people on tele. All just to do it again the next 2 days😭. #NurseTwitter

@squirebrocoRN I’m with you on this. Today I tried protecting my patient while another patient on our neuro floor went into their room trying to banter them. The patient then locked himself into our residents room and took their soda which he then proceeded to dump the entire bottle all over me

Well today a dementia patient (who I was covering for another nurse on break) threw soda all over me. I just love working on a neuro floor 🙃
