“We cannot leave our past to let others tell it, because it won’t be told in a way that does us honor. Know your history and tell your history and always remember, we must never forget.”

@tricia_glennon@susylicious2023 Plenty. Everyone isn’t fit to be a mother. Plus, they’re only human. This self-sacrificing, long suffering for the child type of motherhood is bs, especially when there is a father. It’s time we demand the fathers be serious about raising their child as well.
While the country typically logs a few hundred cases of the illness, called cyclosporiasis, per year, there have already been more than 1,500 cases reported in Michigan alone in 2026. Other states are also seeing more diagnoses than usual. https://t.co/YJgN1BT9ow
AI is being sold as the future of health care, but right now, it’s helping insurers deny care faster.
I wrote on @LinkedIn about how AI is quietly turning prior authorization into a denial machine, and why patients need transparency and accountability.

America’s 250th birthday also marks the 150th birthday of the racial massacre that ended Reconstruction, overturned an election and ushered in Jim Crow.
It started because of road rage. https://t.co/8LfbxKq3Hb

That’s because we are not direct descendants of any one lineage. We are an amalgamation of many African people. The reality of N. American slavery is that generally, the U.S. traders were scavengers. They got their merch where they could, through piracy, purchase, kidnapping…
William Whipple, one of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence, reportedly became convinced that no one could fight for liberty while holding another person in bondage after his enslaved servant, Prince Whipple, challenged him on the contradiction.
Although the exact conversation cannot be verified, William eventually emancipated Prince after the Revolutionary War, formally completing the process by 1784.
Prince had served alongside Whipple during the war, later married, and became a respected member of Portsmouth, New Hampshire's free Black community.
Whipple's decision was unusual for the era, as most Declaration signers who enslaved people never freed them. His story remains one of the clearest examples of Revolutionary ideals influencing an individual's views on slavery.
@happyazhell@BlackAndNative1 “Yt blood” is not a flex. That means somewhere in your line some plantation rapist fkd your great-grandmother so he can have a light-skinned baby to sell.
🚨 A 17-year-old in Alabama killed his mother and chased his bloodied father outside, stabbing him repeatedly as he ran house to house begging for help during an argument.
Neighbor security video captured the horror. Samantha Baker, 37, was killed. Lance Baker, 46, remains in critical condition.
The teen was charged as an adult with murder and attempted murder. Bond set at $1 million.
This kind of family violence is disgusting and must be exposed.
