I went to a birthday celebration for a 100 year old lady today and she met my son. Looking at him sleeping in his stroller, without a beat, she said “He’s not as cute as any of my kids, but he’s cute!” And honestly that is exactly the kind of attitude I want to have as a mom.

I think the thing that has really gotten to me the most about home ownership is that every floor lamp is ugly and yet there are houses built that require floor lamps. So now I’m either in the literal dark or surrounded by ugly (and EXPENSIVE) lamps.
