the death penalty has always been hard for me to form a solid opinion on i'll be honest, but live streaming it like some sort of sideshow attraction is batshit insane. how do you not question your own humanity if your idea of a night in is turning on an execution?
Peyton, these weren’t just “disgusting things he said.” Ingalls and Newell invited men into the room where Doe alleges she was assaulted. Ingalls then told her they wandered in because the door was unlocked. The lie concealed their alleged role in facilitating the assaults!!!!!
@chelsieomfgg We can all agree he lied and didn’t tell her about the Snapchat messaging. But why would he? Why would he be stupid enough to tell someone angry at him those disgusting things he said?? But it doesn’t mean she was raped
There are some social norms that just aren't that big of a deal for everyone to fake question in the way y'all do. Just tell your friend you got to the house safe, like oh my god.
I've largely been discussing Jane Doe's own statements, actions, and the timeline in her complaint. You don't get to call that defamation because you dislike the implications.
If billionaires came out and said they were going to hunt us for sport, some of you would defend it by saying:
"You’re just mad because you can’t fucking run fast."
The man who was shot by ice in nyc yesterday could have a rap sheet a mile long and I would still be like, “hey maybe ICE shouldn’t pull up on someone in a hi-vis vest with a long gun and shoot a bunch of bullets into a car with a child inside of it.”
Both men were expelled after being found responsible for sexual assault in Cornell’s Title IX proceedings. The notion that publicly discussing the conduct underlying those findings somehow constitutes defamation or libel is particularly ludicrous.
The source is literally the public record. Her complaint alleges nonconsensual acts and says she reported them to Cornell police on Nov. 8; ABC published her Nov. 8 text to one accused man: “I know you lied.” We are discussing the allegations in her filed complaint. Be serious.
If I had a nickel for every reply recycling the exact same argument, I’d have plenty to rub together. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the brain cells of the people sending them.
Not to make this about whether these conversations are mentally stimulating, but Jesus Christ. The sheer number of asinine replies I’ve received in just a few hours has been mind-numbing. Deliberately ignoring the chronology to defend alleged rapists is not an argument.
@chelsieomfgg "None of the sexual stuff was illegal"
"anything anyone has to say about the GANGBANG is out of their jurisdiction"
"our body our choice"
"Everyone needs to grow up because sexuality and sex is changing and stuff like this is going to become more common"
You took a criticism of TMZ refusing to call “nonconsensual sex” rape and twisted it into an accusation that I WANTED her raped. That's a perverse, deliberate distortion of my post.
Acknowledging sexual violence is not wishing for it, you dishonest fucking weirdo.
Surely you’re not sitting on this app pretending ALL CAPS is meant to be scary when it’s basic visual emphasis online. Surely your rebuttal to an argument about rape and consent isn’t about fucking TYPOGRAPHY. You can’t address a point, so now we’re debating capital letters? LMAO
@chelsieomfgg All caps, huh? I guess when logic and the truth don’t have your back BIG SCARY LETTERS will have to do.
I want you to know that women’s credibility has taken a big hit this past month or so. The he fault is with people like you.
It's so brave of you to publicly admit that even when I put something in ALL CAPS for emphasis, you still can't read and comprehend it. That's a remarkable level of illiteracy to announce with your whole chest.
Which part, beloved? The part where consent to one sexual act doesn't automatically extend to others? Or the part where someone's later understanding of an encounter doesn't establish their capacity to consent at the time? Pls explain what you think consent means. I'm fascinated.
