I’ve experienced the IDF firsthand, so I won’t soften this: they are far worse than ICE. But anyone paying attention can see the trajectory. ICE is being molded in their image.

This is the IDF’s playbook. Arrest begins with humiliation. You’re blindfolded and restrained immediately. You’re beaten, spat on, stripped, mocked for sport. If you’re “lucky,” you’re thrown into a cell instead of killed during the arrest. No bathroom. No privacy. No dignity. No humanity. You sit there not knowing if your family is safe or if they even know where you are.

For years, Palestinians have warned the world: mobilize early, because what’s tested on us never stays with us. That warning wasn’t symbolic. You’re watching it arrive here in real time, in 4K. License plate surveillance. Drones overhead. Detention based on how you look. Different uniforms, same logic.

It’s all connected and it always was.
