Got a full blood workup done through function health after 5 months on carnivore. Pretty great results aside from a few minor issues. Results are too lengthy to post all of it but if anyone wants specifics let me know and I can share. For context I'm a 45 yo man. 210lbs from 255
@BFuentes74571 These are all of the "out of range stats" 13 out of 105 markers. Cholesterol is a given and I'm not worried about it. Had a CAC scan of my heart and scored a 0.
@justarushbaby2 I was only beef, butter, bacon, and eggs for 5 months. Got a full blood panel through function health at Quest labs and had no ketones in my urine.
@SamaHoole I went carnivore on Jan 1st of this year and stayed on until a few weeks ago. Diarrhea literally the entire time. That being said, carnivore cured fatty liver, acid reflux, HBP and reduced inflammation. Just got blood work done with function.Nearly perfect. LDL high but big deal.
@CarnivoreKiwi Holy moly! That's a great post thanks for sharing! I'm going to go until the end of June and get all my blood work done. That'll be 6 months of carnivore. Then I'm switching up to animal based and will get blood work done again in December.
@OneManCircus87 I'm with you man. Been on carnivore for almost 6 months and think I'm ready to make the switch to animal based. We just joined a farmer coop so we can now buy raw dairy conveniently. What changes did you experience when you switched?
@carnivoremax I prefer not to. But if you don't blend together they'll stick to the pan with stainless. If I blend them together I'm a bowl first they slide right out perfectly. Now that I don't use Teflon anymore I have no choice.
@CarnivoreKiwi Great post! Agree completely, everyone is different and responds differently to food. If you can tolerate "non carnivore" things like honey and fruit then go for it!
I've been on carnivore for 4 months(BBBE) and still have diarrhea almost exclusively.I've tried more fat, less fat, eating solid fat over liquid fat.The only thing that worked for a short period was cutting out bacon and pork. But it was temporary.
@Carnivore_Kid I do eat what I consider a lot of salt. I'll cut it back and see if it helps. I'm trying to avoid any deviation but am considering transitioning to ketovore.
@markeatsmeat I haven't. Was thinking about having some broccoli but don't want to derail any of my progress. Do you know anything about ox bile? Dr Berry says most people adjust to carnivore but some never do and should take it.
