Black people been knew this. Many folks in the south are holding onto the journals of slaves. We learned that at the Whitney Plantation. Some white people even hope that reparations happens here because they want to produce the ownership papers their ancestors passed down (knowing some of the enslaved were the products of rape) and try and get their cut.
