🧵🧵
Our three-year project recently published on Nature Machine Intelligence @NatMachIntell By combining VR technology and psychophysical methods, we successfully quantified human social behaviours and
directly translated social science concepts to robot navigation algorithms.
To be useful in human life, robots need to learn the social rules of human society. A study in @NatMachIntell develops a social locomotion model for a mobile robot and implements it for socially aware navigation. https://t.co/WinvscQ2aA
Can't agree more! I have always been confused about what hyperscanning can really tell us, because it's not surprising that same behaviours and tasks produce same brain activity……
Please feel free to join my poster session at 2pm EDT, June 24 for #VSS2020 😃 The topic is about how to walk with social groups. https://t.co/cFY27fUQRS
Thrilled to share our two-year project with you. Social interaction was quantified using psychophysics combined with VR technology, based on which we built a computational model called Social Interaction Field Model.
How do people know when others are part of a group? A social interaction field model can quantify principles governing human perceptions of others’ interactions and accurately predict human judgements of social grouping in static and dynamic social scenes https://t.co/utpIOPCIOQ
