Dorothy "Cherry" Groce was shot by police officers in 1985 paralysing her from the chest down sparking Riots in Brixton; 4 years after the Brixton riots of 1981. Her son @MrLeeLawrence alongside @TheVoiceNews pay tribute her life. I'm so honoured to be hosting this panel ❤️

We’re delighted that this week will see the arrival and start of the installation of the memorial to Cherry Groce in Windrush Square this week. The official unveiling will take place late April and will coincide with the 10th anniversary of the passing of Cherry Groce.
