Our #STRIVE Project Learning Event united humanitarian & public organizations to validate key learnings and share experiences from employment interventions.
As @IFRC, we aim to turn learning into action for stronger humanitarian outcomes.

While in Türkiye, I had the opportunity to speak with CNN Türk and TRT Haber on rising humanitarian needs in Iran, Gaza, Lebanon, and across Africa.
We also discussed the crucial role of the @IFRC, in coordination with the Turkish @RedCrescent, in delivering life-saving medical supplies and humanitarian relief from Türkiye to Iran as needs continue to rise sharply.
Across every interview, our messages remained clear: needs are growing, aid must reach people safely, and humanitarian workers and volunteers must always be protected.
Thank you @cnnturk and @trthaber for the space.
So relieved to see the trucks moving. Our colleague Sevil is at the Türkiye-Iran border as 200 large medical trauma kits are entering Iran, thanks to the cooperation of @IFRC and Turkish @RedCrescent.👇
Today we mark 3 years since the 2023 Türkiye earthquakes.
People are still binding up their wounds, one of them is Yusuf.
With #STRIVE Project, he rebuilt from scratch.
The wooden toys he crafts reach children around the world

As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect on another extraordinary year for the @IFRC Türkiye Delegation — a year in which standing shoulder to shoulder with the Turkish @RedCrescent remained our compass and our commitment.
Etap’s story reminds us that recovery is not just about shelter, it’s about opportunity. Local humanitarian action that listens and responds to real needs changes lives. #STRIVE Project is a testimony of this.
In emergencies, visible damage draws most attention.
But many wounds are invisible. Long after bridges are rebuilt, disasters leave fear, grief, and trauma in people’s lives. https://t.co/Aexxef5WX1
🔥Turkey faced over a week of relentless wildfires, with hundreds of blazes leaving devastation in their wake and claiming two lives.
The Turkish @RedCrescent has been on the ground, delivering food and water to those affected.
While the fires are now under control, the heatwave continues and with it, the risk of more wildfires.
If you live in a fire-prone area, please take precautions. Get prepared. Stay safe.
We can’t stop the heat, but we can protect each other. ❤️
Belgin, who lives in Nurdağı, Gaziantep, lost her shop and all her investments during the devastating earthquake. Her business was completely destroyed.
With support from @UkinTurkiye and through the #STRIVE project, implemented in partnership with @Kizilay, @BritishRedCross and @IFRC, Belgin received cash assistance that enabled her to rebuild her livelihood.
After losing everything, this support became a source of hope and a new beginning for Belgin and her family.
🔴 Houthis say Israeli airstrikes hit Yemen’s Al Hudaydah

We stand on the side of humanity.
We care.
We bring hope.
If your faith in humanity is shaken, watch this video from aboard the Ocean Viking ship which rescues people on a dangerous migratory route across the Mediterranean Sea.
Moments like these keep us going.
We choose humanity and dignity.
The @IFRC and @SOSMedIntl teams on aboard of the Ocean Viking ship rescue people on a deadly migratory route in the Central Mediterranean - and say to survivors:
🫂 You are safe.
Today marks 2 yrs since the #pazarcık#earthquakes in #Turkiye. While the stories of this disaster are no longer in the headlines, the road to recovery continues
@RedCrescent & @ifrc have been supporting people since day one & continue to help communities to rebuild their lives
😢There is so much sadness in the world, it's hard to feel hopeful.
❤️🩹But Canan's story reminds me that there is also so much good. People taking care of each other.
🙏Turkish @RedCrescent & @ifrc for standing with people like Canan in their time of need.

In Türkiye, two years after the earthquake, hundreds of thousands of people are still in need of support. Many have lost their homes and livelihoods and are carrying the psychological burden of the disaster.
The Turkish @RedCrescent has been at the very heart and frontline of the response to the earthquakes since day one and will continue to support communities for many years to come, supported by the @IFRC network.
The @ifrc network knows that support for people on the move is as continuous as their journeys.
Turkish @RedCrescent (TRC) has supported Syrians who found shelter in #Türkiye for years.
Now as some begin the journey home, TRC is standing with them as they start a new chapter.
