Every one talking about this but still not a single reply from authorities.Its a pity 😮‍💨 @ChessbaseIndia @DrSJaishankar @FIDE_chess @chesscom @BhagwantMann @IndiainSpain

[Padmíní Rout (ପଦ୍ମିନୀ) @acciochess]

Scary. The organisers should compensate the players. The tournament is Sunway's, so are the apartments and are recommended by the organisers. @FIDE_chess @aicfchess @SunwayChessOpen @gsankalp03

[Dushyant Sharma @chess_dushyant]

Still no action/reaction from any concerned authorities

Seriously unacceptable...

Imagine the outrage if such a thing happened with international chess players in India! This is such negligence by the Spanish authorities and police ! Feeling bad for the players who are suffering such losses!

[Swayams Mishra @swayams2150]

I hope some serious action is taken by the organisers or else maybe serious action against them?

[Srinath Narayanan @srinathchess]

I am quite saddened that this happened, and from all the information I have read so far about it, the response from the organizers seems inadequate given that this actually happened in a property owned by them.

[Mounika Akshaya @MounikaAkshaya]

I request @IndiainSpain @DrSJaishankar @MEAIndia @PMOIndia to kindly investigate this incident as it’s a matter of safety for the Indian players, it happened only to the Indians in one of the biggest chess events. We are helpless, as the organisers and the police are not helping.

@chess_dushyant @PMOIndia @narendramodi @DrSJaishankar @vishy64theking @FIDE_chess If such an incident happened for a cricket team or a football team - all hell would have broken loose. Why are chess players treated this way?

@SunwayChessOpen @chessable @ChessbaseIndia @aicfchess @ChessbaseHindi @chesscom_in @ArjunErigaisi @chess24in @nikchess @sagarchess1 Crazy that if this happened to any other foreign player in indian event the backlash in mainstream media would make it look so terrible but when it happens in a fashionable destination everyone closes their eyes and acts as if nothing happend. the double standards are crazy

[JaganVaman @VamanJagan]

Indian #Chess players need proper security and safety while playing abroad. This is a callous attitude by organisers and disturbing. Our team should boycott and return.

#Chess A lot of words. 🇪🇸 seems to be not a safe environment, in other countries even with open doors this will not happen. There should be an internal investigation who of the Sunway stuff helped the robbers. @SunwayChessOpen @ChessbaseIndia

[Sankalp Gupta @sankalpchess]

locked or not, but it was 100% closed.

My AirPods Pro were last seen at 6:10 p.m. (which can still be tracked and have been in the same location for 3 days now!) so I believed that was roughly the time when the robbery happened.
